That story of the scientists letting an insect burrow through their arm was pretty chilling. Great video GDN.

I really liked this a lot! Never heard of this world before, but it's very fascinating; thank you!

It says just how different the attitudes of humans are in the Dune and Warhammer 40k settings. In Warhammer 40k, Ecaz would be labeled a Death World. A low-grade one, certainly, but definitely a Death World. Garden Worlds in 40k are actually pleasant and mostly safe to live on. (Except, of course, for the ever-present dangers that the sky might rip open and the legions of hell descend, the ground might rip open and legions of nigh-indestructible undead robots might climb out, or the plant life might unexpectedly become abnormally lush and heavy, followed by legions of hungry Tyrannids falling out of the sky to devour all life. But these are dangers on all planets in 40k, so there's little point in taking real notice of the risk.)

Nothing quite so relaxing as nuclear annihilation. :P I hadn't heard about this world before. It certainly seems like an interesting place to find unique pharmaceuticals.

I think we need another house besides Atradies, Harkonene, and Emperor. Well there was Ordos which is shakey on its Canon, and the Guild and Benejererite are a faction but not a house. Same for the Fremen.
@GrimDarkNarrator3 жыл бұрын
Well, there's many houses but the authors never wrote a lot about them.

hello ! is this a game ? does it have big lore ?
@cthulawha3 жыл бұрын
this is lore from a science fiction series Dune by Frank Herbert ,he wrote 6 books in the series from 68 to 85 or 6 when he died. His son Brian Herbert and another guy continued the series using Frank's notes and they have added a couple dozen books to the series. There is also a movie Dune coming out next month

@@peterga3658 I just find it funny that someone would come across an obscure video of an even more obscure and small part of the lore of one of the most known and influential sci-fi stories ever and this being the first time you even hear of it. By the way, if you're interested in knowing more about Dune I recommend reading the original 6 books. There are plenty more which were written by the author's son but they're of a lesser quality . The new movies are good but they're not really the best of adaptations shall we say.
