It's because, while this ending leaves us on a cliffhanger that seems to be a happy ending for the Fremen, we, the audience, know that it is ((((SPOILERS))))) the beginning of an intergalactic genocide of unfathomable proportions. Take away the awareness of the audience, and this song fits a seemingly very, very happy ending.

@@KRALTAIR47 exactly! I was very disappointed at the final battle in part 2. Like I was expecting an epic battle between both armies and it was a massacre. It ended in under 3 minutes. It was literally just the one film, is the funny thing xD it’s very specifically a reference to Transformers (2007), but that film was so quintessentially 2000s and, let’s be real, the ending cut to credits does in fact go stupid hard in that film, so the vibe stuck in our minds I guess

I mean... yeah he's the bad guy lol
@stur33665 күн бұрын
@@hrothgarnogarI feel like calling paul a bad guy has always been a shallow take on his character when he literally didn't have a choice in any of this. The moment he killed Jamis was the moment when the jahid became inevitable. He would have had to kill himself, his mother, and everyone in the Siech to prevent the jahid and he only discovered this after it was to late. If paul died the jahid would still happen, the only thing paul could do in this situation is minimize the damage. That's what's so sad about his character, he never had a choice, any agency, any free will. He is possibly the personification of a tragic hero.
