another quick lore check: Ixians are fringe humans/scientists/inventors that still somewhat use thinking machines tech like that hunter-seeker bomb. they are kinda responsible for most of the tech in the show and in the movies Theodosia turns out to be a Bene Tleilax Facedancer, humans that focus on genetic engineering. Like Bene Gesserit or unlike them, all Bene Tleilax are actually male and are labeled "weird" or "heretic" because of their genetic manipulations I thought Desmond was a Facedancer but after this ep, he prolly isn't. Just what is he?
