Bands like Dune lead me later to Armin van Buuren who lead me to falling in love with the Netherlands, learning Dutch, studying in Flanders using Dutch, which lead me into working in IT in Dutch, which lead to learning Norwegian and moving to Norway… Dune seems to have paved my way.

Turbomykel W-E nö, ich glaube das würde irgendwann langweilig werden. Die Kultur muss sich weiterentwickeln. Aber schade dass nichts mehr von dem positiven Spirit von damals erhalten geblieben ist. Thags what a lot of the 90s songs were about, it's not a coincidence that so many of the euro dance songs came from Germany. 1990 we finally felt like the "war" is over, we reunited and in general a lot of people felt like everything is possible in the 90s. Great times, delusional but Im so thankful for living through those times.

Comeback wünscht man sich oft, wenn man alte Gruppen, die heute nicht mehr existieren, auf Videos schaut (dieses Phänomen gibt es auch bei 80er-Jahre-Bands, wie Modern Talking oder Sandra). Aber realistisch gesehen hatten das alte Dune (heute benutzt Oliver ja noch das Pseudonym, wenn er irgendwo auflegt) ihre Zeit gehabt. Ich meine, warum mögen sie hier spontan so viele Leute? Wegen ihrer Musikrichtung und vor allem der Sängerin, damals sowohl körperlich als auch gesangstechnisch der Traum vieler jungen Männer. Aber eben nur aus damaliger Sicht. Happy Hardcore oder Rave sind heute leider nicht mehr so angesagt und bei allem wirklich nötigen Respekt: Mehr als 20 Jahre vergangene Zeit gehen schon nicht spurlos an einem vorüber - ich hab vor einiger Zeit die heutige Sandra gesehen und gehört - im Vergleich zu früher grauenhaft.

Ich vermute ja immer noch stark, dass das die Stimme von Tina Lagao ist, die offiziell bei "I Can't Stop Raving" gesungen hat, da sich die Stimme hier genauso anhört (wesentlich kräftiger, vor allem in den Höhen, im Gegensatz zur Stimme von Verena, die sich wesentlich seichter anhört, wie wir in ihrem Song "Finally Alone" hören können). Aber ihr hübsches Gesicht und süße Art hat super zu dieser (hochgepitchten) Stimme gepasst und sie hat super dazu performt.
