Hey guys! Just to clear things up, at 1:04 I misspoke and said “The Baron” and meant to say “The Duke.” So if anyone gets confused, I was talking about his love the Duke Leto and his family. Not the Baron. Hope I cleared that up.

"Yueh! Yueh!" Goes the refrain " A million deaths were not enough for Yueh!"

If I was in Yueh's shoes and as smart as he is, I'd know my wife is already lost. The Harkonnens aren't known for their honor, quite the opposite. Yueh is a fool.

That’s a very good point.

In the books He pretty much already knew his wife was dead, betrayed the Duke just so he knows for sure she’s dead which is kinda dumb because it was all just for confirmation rather than saving his wife.

That’s fair. Part of me felt like that he wanted to believe that his wife was still alive and was willing to take a chance even if he were to become a traitor. But the other part of me was like “The Baron doesn’t look like and is not the type of man to take prisoners or keep promises so what guarantee do you have of your wife being alive?”

Agreed man. The movie really cut this whole plot segment really short. I understand why they did it because it was already a long movie but you are right. The book just does it so much better. Not having any suspicions on lady Jessica in the movie and breezing over Dr yueh role and his limited screen time certainly lessens the impact. Books are almost always better though. There’s always so much more nuance and detail in the stories

1:04 Didn't have any ill will towards the Baron? He loved the Baron? Tf
