Congratulations on the 2000 subscribers! Extremely glad to be one of them. Great minds think alike too because I was researching a trip to Dunfermline abbey only the other day. Thank you for bringing us along and long may you continue. :)

@@AScottishOdyssey I just thought of a suggestion if it’s ok? Perhaps Culross would be nice.
@AScottishOdyssey3 жыл бұрын
I've visited Culross, both the town and the Abbey. They are both stunning, aren't they. The video that I shot at they Abbey is already up. The video that I shot in the town will be going up soon.

are there no tombs for the other kings? (David I, Edgar, Alexander I, etc etc). Wikipedia says they are there.
@AScottishOdyssey2 жыл бұрын
Not as far as I know. A lot would have been destroyed during the reformation, when the desolation of the monasteries took place.

@@AScottishOdyssey shame. we are visiting from Louisiana in May-June and was debating whether to drive up there or not from Edinburgh as the rest of our trip takes us west (Sterling, Blair Atholl for games, Isle of Skye). May have to pass this.

It is still worth a visit. There is a lot of history in the Abbey. The building is stunning. I do hope that you enjoy your visit. Just to let you know, the town is called Stirling. Sterling is the currency.

@@eddieharr That's alright. My spelling can be terrible as well. It is an easy mistake to make.

such un-necessary desecration no respect for the dead. Sadly the reformation did not believe in charity and respect for the dead.

Are you meaning about Margaret and Malcolm’s bodies being taken to Spain?
