I always do my crabbing from the shore. We have dozens and dozens of Dungeness Crabs.

It looks fun. Is there an advantage for using this crab trap vs the snares i see in other videos?

The foldable trap I feel catches more crabs per pull. Both are great for fishing sandy beach areas where the crab hang out. The snares definitely cast farther than the square traps.

Don’t have to setup those traps 😂 just open the package and attach to snap swivel.. I learned that the hard way as well! I like using my pole and 2 small folding hand line traps over big traps sometimes from the piers and bridges. at this specific location I had better luck driving down the bay a 1/2 mile or so to the free parking pull off. Caught 2 keeper on my pole

Don’t feel bad! I just got my first crab trap from them and did the same thing as I couldn’t get the line to budge so thought it was a packaging tool. I wish you had a video showing how to fix it as I’m not quite sure how it’s supposed to go back on! Even better, maybe they could include some instructions!!!

Did it but with no fishing pole…just full send into the water by hand with rope..got a sore arm and no crab…bad timing I guess..netarts bay 2 weeks ago…killed it in garibaldi off the piers tho (with a pot)..
