what if they did the three affixes or even 2. With 2 being the affixes we have now bolstering spiteful etc. 1 seasonal affix that we get instead of fort & tyran because we’ve always had those. But a four affix that players can choose individually for a key. For example you could have a list of 4 options for everyone to pick from examples such as getting a buff after killing a boss for 30 seconds that might be good for a big pull or a buff on pull of a boss that could help with harder bosses. As a fun work around from the different affixes where everyone in the group gets an individual choice in how they can combat affixes or hard pulls etc.?

I’d be ok with a bigger % increase in mob damage and health because it would be a player buff and possibly making a “20” easier that a “18”… However I cook some more and what if the last afix you got was the buff? How in the new system you get one at 2, 5, 7, 10 where the last afix you got was the buff so the buff wouldn’t matter because you always get it like running a 2 you’d get nothing but the buff then in a 7 you’d get the seasonal a regular then the buff as your last unlock affix that would make balancing it on blizzards end so much easier

I would definitely love to see them experiment with affixes in general, positive ones like you mentioned could be very interesting, and seeing how it felt with removing/replacing an affix or two could also be useful. Will have to wait and see what they end up doing once the PTR hits.

@@Tactyks Glad you think so I was just trying to come up with something that gives a level of counterplay that feels good and everyone can use... Opposed to how it is now where if it is bursting well you are bringing a priest no matter how bad they are for the dispel or evoker for the only AOE soothe in the game. I think one i would love to see as a helpful affix is to make targets vulnerable to stuns and kicks and things even if they would not normally be able to be kicked so you can move those mobs out of Sanguine. haveing a witch cast etch in a sanguine pull while you watch her get full hp and you cant do anything about it feels awful.

Also they need to look at boss design for higher keys because even in a 24 tyran DHT you are fighting the first boss for ever and a half also feels bad

Basically no tank changes? Nice guess we will see a whole season of VDH and pally again. Hopefully they remove one of the VDH sigils and buff the other tanks or something

Yeah I'm holding out hope that the actual class specific number changes (and affix changes) are coming down the road, since all that was really included were tier readjustments and some mw/holy priest changes. That could just be full copium though haha

Tbf the dungeon pool is far less caster and cc heavy, thus making Silence sigil less relevant. But VDH still needs nerfs in terms of survivability. Cutting those sources of parry by 33% and reducing DR per stack of frailty by 1% would bring them more in line. I don’t exactly know what they can do to prot warrior without making them broken again but I would suggest at least more range on their aoe, gathering mobs is such a pain.

Vdh shouldn't be nerfed. It's rly average and comfort. Blizz just should buff other classes. Nerfing is like "I'm jealous because I want us all to sit in the same swamp" - stupid logic that cause players leave the game

@@auditor_sama no, vengeance is clearly overturned. The amount of cc makes dungeon tuning a nightmare. If any tank has this amount of cc why bother giving mobs any relevant abilities. Or you need to make those abilities much more punishing which makes the game unplayable for people with less coordination. There is a reason vdh has 60% usage in 25 key and up. And this amount of cc makes the full caster meta even possible, with any other tank you can’t allow this lack of cc from dps. Blizz needs to do 2 things, tune down the cc from vdh and/or create dungeons that don’t ask for this much.

I'll agree it was definitely satisfying seeing an entire pack just blow up instantly from full hp, but the gameplay definitely felt weird just walking through entire hallways and waiting for mobs to group up near them. I always prefer damage amps so that players themselves get to blast as opposed to direct damage in these situations but thats just me.

@@Tactyks yeah, nah. sometimes its just fun to blow things up to smithereens with overpowered attacks. its not like you're lacking packs in that dungeon, and you dont get to do that in every dungeon, especially when you can control how much you pull

Would definitely be nice to see a pass at removing some of the trash abilities so you aren't dealing with 4+ different things every pull.

Is the complexity of dungeon bosses a problem? As far as I'm aware, it's the trash that's the primary issue. Some bosses in DoTI as well, but those won't be in S4.

They added abilities to bosses that do no damage so that the healer has healing to do. Not really adding much complexity, just discouraging 4dps strats and giving healers an interesting thing to optimize.

I love how blizz seem to hate BloodDK, buffing and nerfing everything that makes the life harder for them and easier for others respectivly. Giving more mobs dmg taken increased, huge physical damage attack and nerfing bleeds and debuffs…
