Basically it empowers the dominant add in the section you're in for the remainder of the fight, and for our guild controlling the small guys was the easiest task. If your guild is 3 tanking though (as opposed to our 2 tanking) I can definitely see an argument to start in the tank spider section instead, especially if you are struggling to group and CC the small adds.

Only if someone uses a disorient/fear effect on them is my understanding, so their initial fixate can't be the tank (at least I haven't seen it).

Mix of ilvl (I'm only 631 and gaining 6+ ilvls is very significant) and also just lack of familiarity of what exactly I'm in danger of dying to currently since we just started pushing recently and only have a couple reps in each dungeon. Once we run them a couple more times (and I get some more ilvl) it'll be much better.

To me as a healer it feels like the easiest boss by far. For a TWW boss it has shockingly little unavoidable damage. The pools are difficult but if done right, become completely ignorable and you can even just not take a single tick too. The dot from the dispel is a joke, and that just leaves you with beam aoe which can be healed with incidental hots. Compared to the other two bosses there which are some of the hardest to heal fights in the season. Second boss is an absolute nightmare (though at least its very stationary which helps) and the third one just goes on for freaking ever. Then there is CoT where every single boss can brick a key +12 an higher.

​@@nickfarace9339 When you play with a group that knows how to position the pools, it is incredibly easy, I agree. I didn't mention anything on difficulty. I said frustrating in a pug. Frustrating != Difficult.

​@@JBX5677JBI recently got blamed for not keeping the boss in the middle of the room when DPS were dropping the puddles right on top of the boss, we wiped on beam, fun times

Out of the two bear is easier to play at a base level. VDH isn’t terribly hard, however you have to have a very good grasp of your defensive timings otherwise you will just disappear.

@@hadishabara350 After what I have seen in 12 and 13 lately, this is no the case. Its strong for meta, but its not newbie friendly in high keys. These mofos get one shot by major tank busters all the freaking time. I feel like the answer is absolutely bear. DH is one of those specs that can and will randomly blow up and really, really needs to know a lot about the little things to ensure they don't die 1 second into a pull. They settle in to become incredibly sturdy, but it takes a bit to get there and some pulls don't give you that cushion.

Plater and MDT can help you with that. I'm a tank and I colour code cast bars for phys and magic damage

In terms of in-game stuff keiya gave the best advice to use something like Plater to colour code mobs, though I'm not sure there's currently a profile out there that does this for every mob. Mostly it's just knowledge before hand, where you can check things like MDT or my dungeon spreadsheet (linked in the description) to get an idea of what mobs use what abilities.

It's a mix between both myself and one of our DPS having markers bound, combined with a popular mouseover macro used by high key pushers which sets a mob as your focus while also applying a marker to them (and you pre assign which player is kicking which marker). This gives you a lot more control compared to an auto marker which is something I like. Here's what the macro looks like: /focus [@mouseover] /script SetRaidTarget("mouseover",1) where the number designates what raid marker is used.

Seismic Smash is the tank buster so dispel once that casts start and you're good. If someone detonates an extra pillar you likely need to commit more than you usually would, for example in the video we immediately throw down a barrier and use things like health pots if available to try and stabilize before the final detonation, just keep in mind you don't want to blow everything you have because you still need to heal through the 3-4 stack DoT at the end.

Yeah just do what we accidentally did in the video and have one player pull them to the side and die then mass rez. Definitely worth dropping 2 honor guards from that pull otherwise it's very easy to lose players with all the charges going out imo.

Mythic and no engineering needed

I believe the mech mount is available on both mythic difficulty and from any level of mythic+ keys. Also anyone can use it, no need to be an engineer!

@@joefuller3886 You can run the mythic version daily for the mount or m+ as many times as you want. I got the mount spamming mythic version on multiple alts. Took me around 12-15 runs

Yeah I think that's more than fine! For the most part I'd say that not playing the 100% meta comp isn't what stops people from getting title, you can look and see the vast majority of spec represented even now. Definitely more about dungeon knowledge and personal play, so going with what you're comfortable on is better than a lot of people think.

There's really not a ton of options out there, especially for guilds like us that prog before Liquid releases their pack. Definitely wish I didnt have to download a giant megapack to get the WAs I want but doesnt take too long to just go through and delete auras you dont need.

@@Tactyks yeah which is a sad case, but its more that the northern sky auras are so poorly optimized and have been forever and that they can get away with it is what sets me off most of the time, especially this tier with all the weird fps drops between patches or resets, it doesnt help having an entire weakaura pack that constantly has warnings saying "this weakaura calls getData often which is a slow function" but is never changed or updated. Even then, I do believe that the entire community relies too much on weakauras for fights and are so used to having their hands held to do simple tasks like move to a spot that its only natural that these packs exist. Private auras are a whole different can of worms, like using macros for stuff is just such a toxic gameplay loop lmao. Like the vast majority of players are still too thick to know the difference between Left and Right without a big arrow and probably subway surfers on their screen, so i doubt anything is going to change any time soon

Disc can squeeze out some more damage, but both are good.

Like others have said, both are solid and are being run in the highest keys, disc just gives a bit more damage and allows you to cheese necrotic wake

with enhancement shaman being as good as it is, there is no reason to play resto shaman. Disc is just better in utility and damage.

@ yeah I have gone a little crazy with it! I got like 4 new tanks to lvl 80 and didn’t like any of them so I made another Druid tank lol!! And now I’m making a Druid healer and I actually like cat weaving healer the most of all Druid specs! It’s the most classic era feeling Druid. I use nature spells, healing, cat form, rarely bear form, but it just feels the most whole outside of bear tanking which I do love

Yeah it really does make the fight a whole lot easier to manage, plus you never need to worry about any potential rockets shooting across the room hahaha

I don't really think there's a reason to 5 heal, especially because the thread buff also amps healing done. Most of the deaths here are likely going to be one shots so adding a 5th healer doesn't really do much.
