Very well explained and video doesn't cut corners. Couple of spark plugs on the back left side were kind of a pain, but manageable . Thank you very much!

We own a 2010 3.7 JGC. At 61,000 miles. This video is the bomb. Outstanding. How to remove the upper air assembly was soooo helpful. I thought I was going to have to remove the steel bar running above it but not at all after watching this.

This is a great 👍 video for this job, it took me about 2 hrs, I'm 70 plus and had to climb up onto the radiator cowling for the passenger side rear 2, hard on the knees, I've got a bad one. Only thing I would add is cover your intake and the large rubber hose from the filter box with plastic bags. My engine top was really dusty and so were the spark plug wells lots of rust and dust.

Great tutorial, had a misfire in one of my cylinders and changed all 6 plugs. Unfortunately the problem persisted and after doing some further reading I decided to check the coil of the problematic cylinder. Sure enough, the coil was cracked and after changing it, everything is all good!

Great video! I have done tuneups on lots of different cars, but when I took a look under the hood of my WK I got a little intimidated. Your video was a huge help and saved me almost $400 by showing me how easy it was to do it myself. It took me about 2 hours, and the majority of that was spent on the passenger side plug next to the firewall. If I can make a suggestion to people trying for the first time, start with the rear most plugs. If you can get those finished, the rest is a piece of cake! Of course, I may have given up if I had tried that one first, lol! Thanks again for the excellent video!

Great video Dungeon. I've been doing the plugs on my '08 since I bought it new. The two points I would add to this if I may 1) Remove the connectors from the coils. This makes it so much easier to remove the coils from their shafts. It takes about 2 minutes to remove all the connectors when you start. (2 Instead of a magnet, I use painters tape to secure my 5/8 plug socket to a combination of 3, 5, 6 and 10 inch extensions. These different combinations will allow you to get under every height obstacle within the engine housing and firewall. Thanks again. Great work!

Hi Anthony, the 0.043" gap was sourced from a dealer's shop manual. 0.043" is exactly what you want. And if you get the NGK spark plugs listed in this videos's description, you don't even have to worry about gapping them. They come correctly gapped, but you should always double check them.

I know this video is old but worth a shot. Currently trying to replace mine. I actually have a bolt that holds my coil packs in place instead of a nut. I can get the bolt loose, and pop the coil out, but can’t remove it completely because the other end of the bolt is still secured in the manifold. Please don’t tell me there are nuts on the other side of these..

Depending on what your plugs are made of will determine how long they can go before they are changed. Copper is 30K Miles or 3 years, Platinum 50-60K Miles or 5-6 years, and Iridium 90-100K Miles or 9-10 years. And all or any of that depends on how well the vehicle is maintained.

Absolutely! Bad spark plugs can cause your ride's fuel economy to decrease by up to 30 percent - a result of incomplete combustion.
