Yes. Working on a lot of the soundtrack with varying degrees of success. Thats some of the holdup on finishing the final episode. I have to have the same music or else it just wont do it justice!

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I am still hard a work on it. Progess is slow because I kept postponing the difficult shots for the end. Now I am down to just a few scenes to complete, but getting them just right is quite an undertaking.

I just watched Requim. Loved it! I tried to leave a comment in that video's comment section but that section only states "comments are turned off." It was good to see them finally return home considering they came so close a few times in the series. I even liked how you included the closing credits with the music because that reminded me of me watching it was a kid. Great nostalgia flashback! I was 10 years old in 1983. Life was so much simpler and fun back then. Thank you!

You're welcome Jim. KZbin turned the comments off because they determined the video was intended for kids. I just sent them an appeal. Hoping to get that reversed. We put the ending into the credits because that song always stuck with us over the years as being very melancholy. We figured this was a way to transform the song into something that wasn't so sad anymore. I dont think many people are noticing that the credits are running backwards from right to left instead of left to right, because the analytics show the viewership drop off markedly at that point. :(

I'm putting my comment on here because I can't submit one for Requiem. That was an amazing finale to an incredible series, one that I absolutely adored growing up. Bobby, Sheila, Presto, Hank, Eric, and Diana were valued friends and I always hoped to see them go home. Now, I can play this for my own kids after letting them watch the dvd set I own. Also, I think its really spectacular that Katie Leigh reprised her role as Sheila. She was my favorite character.

Katie Leigh is an absolute gem. Her and her daughter recorded audio for the DVD radio show in 2006 but the sound was a big problem. They both agreed to reprise their roles as Shelia-Bobby and Diana. This project would have had many more sound difficulties had they not jumped on board. Thank you for your comments, we are glad you like it and are sharing it with your kids!

very good job with this ending, even better than the script of Michael Reeves. And using the same dragon face at the entrance of the tower being the same of the entrance to the D&D ride, is a great idea. I have to say, that in the episode of The Box, there is an scene when they return to their world, that shows the real exit fo the D&D ride, that is like a door, but obvioulsy, the second Dragon mouth as the exit is awesome.

I looked really close at The Box episode and I believe that when they exit the Dragon mouth they are exiting out of the entrance they went into. The dragon mouth in the credits I believe is the exit to the ride. The portal home does not have to open in the same place each time. The River That Rains Upside Down opens up in a pond. I think this is the same pond in the credits. The opening in Day Of The Dungeon Master seems to be in another location near a ferris wheel. I put the exit at this Dragon Mouth because I liked the idea of not actually showing them leaving the Realm in the actual episode, but having it be a part of the credits. I'm kind of amazed how the viewing statistics drop off just as the credits roll! I was hoping people would notice that the credits were panning the opposite direction and that they should watch because that means something big! The entrance to the cenotaph being the ride mouth was done because I wanted to drive home the idea that just like their adventure began at that structure, it will end here too!

BTW about theories, one is that LOST was inspired in the D&D cartoon, and I read somewhere that when the kids gets into the cart, they see a "Barker" with an evil mask, that is not a mask, in the control panel of the ride, and that the ride was closed because the exit was unifinished, as when they get outside the second dragon mouth the cart goes directly to the rocks and stones.....

@@jhonnybigut3597 I have heard that theory before but, being a big fan who's also am amateur detective, I did more research. The guy who developed the series: Mark Evanier, has a blog site where he talks about this very theory. There was never any talk of this kind of scenario. The only alternate idea was that the kids were actually playing the game and at the end of the episode they would revert to their normal Iives. They abandoned this idea because it basically meant they were never in real danger because everything was make believe. They revisited this idea when the writers made Muppet Babies. It actually worked out for them there. :)

@@jhonnybigut3597 Yes! I have seen the car advert. My entire family was around the TV watching it the night it came out. My son yelled, "They are going home!" But then he looked at me and said, "Dad, but they will not like the ending on the cartoon now." I laughed and said, "We shall see." I know of no news about them making a new movie or what it will be about. I hope for something that is more like our loved cartoon, but I can not be sure. Yes, I liked the Dulces song Fantasico. I wanted to put it in somewhere in Requiem, but only as an instrumental playing during an action scene. But I could not find any version of it with no vocals! :(

Yeah. Can't argue with that. I think what keeps me going is knowing that there are so many fans that want this done, and I have the OCD to do it! It does help whenever I manage to stitch two clips together and have it be seemless. Makes me want to keep going.

I don't think anyone wants to see it finished more than I do! Today I had to contruct a scene with Eric turning his head to look 180 degrees behind him. But the face he makes wasn't proper. So I had to build him a new face. Its only a 3 second scene but it has taken me all day to build! Thanks for the encouragement!

I wish I had the soundtrack also! I have sorted all of the different instrumentals in folders on my computer. I have begun the slow task of lining of all of the beats, erasing the noises, and blending the "snips" together to make up a complete track. Unfortunately, I have found that many of the tracks have big gaps in them where there is no clean music available to fill it. :( I am still working on tracks, and I might see if some of the non-english tracks have less noise in the background. I am glad you like it, the music for this series was some of the best of the 80s. Sad that the original music has never been released.

Just seen Requiem and... Did you change the ending? I'm sure when i saw a stills run through a few years ago, it ended with DM offering them the choice but ending before they answered.

Yes. I wish youtube had not turned off the comments. I pinned an explanation. Yes. Michael Reaves' script ended at the 28 minute mark. I chose to add an extra few scenes as my conclusion to the story. The you comments on several other presentations of the script were people being critical of the open ending. Did they go home or not? I wrote the additional ending based off of some assumptions of what had to happen to be consistent with what we already know: Bobby goes home because of the dream of the future in the Girl Who Dreamed Tomorrow. I dont think Shelia would stay in the Realm without Bobby. Hank, last act as being the leader of the group, would be to lead them home. Eric wants to go home so bad, it wouldn't make sense for him to suddenly choose to stay. Diana's love Kosar has left the Realm. Theres no reason for her to stay. Which left Presto. Who had already agreed to stay in the Realm once in The Night of No Tomorrow, also was the one member of the group who was constantly trying to get better as his role as a wizard, also has a love interest. In The Last Illusion, Dungeon Master specifically told Presto that, "Find her (Varla) and you may find the way home." But in that episode, there was never a hint of a portal home. So it is a plot hole. By making Presto choose to stay, it closes that plot hole because Varla herself is Presto's home. Also my thinking is that Vengers new role as redeemed would be to correct the damage in the Realm he had done in his fallen state. Fulfilling his promise to teach Presto (as he scammed in Night of No Tomorrow) is his first step to redeem his legacy. I made a gamble that people would like this ending, I hope it paid off with you. :)

The whole 'satanic scare' of the 80s was a overblown. But I also think that the reaction that was supposedly coming from parent groups was also overblown. I grew up in a church going family and my parents understood the difference between fantasy play and the real world occult. I think most parents did too.

Subbed, thanks for your incredible effort! Are you familiar with the Mills Creek dvd box set? I'm asking because you know the D&D score so well, and there are comments on Amazon that suggest the music on the Mills Creek set is still not 100% accurate. Do you know if there is any truth to this?

The Mill Creek DVDs are the ones that I have. They are accurate. It is the set from BCI Eclipse that featured some changes in the music. I have pulled the music from every source in attempt to recreate all the music. It's really tough but I hope for the best!

This is the first I have heard from anyone that Mill Creek also had different music. As far as I know, the Mill Creek DvDs have all of the original music intact. BCI possibly could not secure the rights to certain instrumentals and had to change it.
