Lord Ashspawn, your stories of undead and necromancy has inspired me to sight one good necromancer that i know of, his name is Astoshan Styern and he created an entire race of intelligent undead called the deathless, people that were killed unjustly brought back to their bodies willingly through the combination of several necromancer spells, he even founded an entire city for his new race as well. He's married to a druid named Ophhilda and has made his simple grave among her roots when she decided to take root, they're still together and u can listen to his story and Onyxia's on all things dnd.

Interesting video. If you want to know what its like to be a Ghoul, read the book called "The Throne of Bones" written by Brian McNaughton. The audio book is narrated by Wayne June, the narrator of The Darkest Dungeon. In the book, ghouls are a genetic bloodline, and the second story is about Lord Gyphtard, and his descent into the madness of ghoulification.

I assure you that my cadre of ghouls is very well behaved! Now, if you wouldn't mind I could use some assistance tracking them down - I find following the screams to be the most reliable method.
