The soundtrack for this game is out of this world. Imagine modern game companies, even Capcom, spending this level of effort on a game for a crowded arcade where you probably wouldn't hear it. Shadow of Mystara is a top 5 game for me for this and many other reasons.

I love Dungeons & Dragons Shadow over Mystara slightly more than I do Dungeons & Dragons Tower of Doom. Reasons why? The addition of the Magic User, who was a very popular character on this game. More people played as the Magic User in my opinion than any of the other playable characters. Also, the magic weapons were a lot better on D&DSOM than D&DTOD. There was another game called King of Dragons which wasn't apart of the D&D games but still developed by Capcom. Capcom and Midway were two of the biggest arcade giants back then.

What I like about Shadow of Mystara over Tower of Doom was that Capcom improved the controls. I felt like the controls were kind of clunky and slippery in Tower Of Doom. For Shadow of Mystara the controls were tighter and felt more fluid and the gameplay was more action oriented this time.

Pro Tip: You can slide over some items (score and money types, specifically) to pick them all up instantly instead of grabbing them off the ground one by one.

Damn, that's wild since me and all my D&D buddies are in our 40s and our main complaint with 5e is that it's a feature-bloated mess where anyone can basically do anything so you don't need to think about team composition, battle strategy, class cohesion, or really anything at all when you play.

One thing i don't understand about the round over bonuses,The less time you on a stage the lower your bonus!?.I thought it would have being less time on stage,MORE bonus.Weird game logic.Another great playthrough,keep them coming.

Nah that's the remaining time for bonuses, not the time you spent to defeat the boss. For example, if the remaining time is 2:09, that means you have SPENT 2:51 to defeat boss with 2:09 REMAIN. However actual time available will be much much longer than just 5 mins

if you payed attention to the characters stats you'd notice how TERRIBLE they are (the fighters best score is Charisma!!!)

this gameplay was in easy mode I guess. When I used to play it was much harder... couldn't ever get past Ezerhorden on a single coin. When it turned into the big mouth he was always chewing me... there was no spot to hide like he did in this gameplay. Btw whoever played this didn't even know you could simply slide to pick up coints and xps item (which was also crucial to avoid getting smacked while picking up items when you instead just wanted to beat down enemies.)
