Yeah, the current crossing was installed in 2012, which replaced an automatic MWL-FP with halogen pedestrian lights. Check out Nirtrainman's video from 2011 and you'll see what it used to look like.

That seemed like a long wait! Feels like that could manage as an automatic crossing, possibly of the manual gate/red-green light variety.

That is definetely ow of the rarer set ups I've seen. Interesting choice of equipment to use on a Footpath crossing. Nice video!

Thanks! Northern Ireland have two of these crossings in operation (the other at Whitehead which is only about a year old). Its a shame that some of Englands MWL or footpath crossings can't be converted to the same design.
