This is so much more comprehensible than the C1 tutorials on their own website. Thank you.

Thx so much for this tutorial! I've been using capture one for a year now. Never used lightroom really due to fujifilm camera's sensors being optimised better with capture one. Lightroom causes worming from fuji sensors apparently... There's so many Lightroom tutorials but not for this one and it makes harder to research on what to do. Plz keep em coming man, you're doing good!! 🙏

When you create a mask on your jacket the new layer does not have the color selected anymore on the new layer under the advanced color tab. As soon as I do ajust a color on the new layer it desaturates the entire image. If I want to make an adjustment to a specific color within the mask what do I do?

Can C1 color editor achieve lightroom's calibration?
@romiemiller78762 жыл бұрын
I've been using a 50% gray card and using the selector on that.

I really wanted to like capture one but it had some things that were just too broken for too long with years long threads in their support forums. Now I’m using Rawtherapee which is amazing.

Is capture one a solid replacement to Lightroom???

Yup!

Comming from LR I can confirm that. So much easier to reach the goals in many cases. Also like the workflows based on sessions and catalogue.

I like capture ones tools better so far, but Lightroom is so much better for cataloguing for me

I appreciate this channel, I feel like I learn a lot. That being said, with apps like luminar being a thing and with Lightroom becoming more user friendly, I just feel like apps like these are just too complicated and waste your time for minimal differences in outcome.
@dunnadidit2 жыл бұрын
Interesting take! I think it really depends what you’re doing with it. Lightroom leaves a decent amount to be desired and I’m not sure if I agree about it being more user friendly lately. Luminar is very cool if you’re okay with it making a lot of the choices for you (though they have new versions every other week so it’s hard to keep up). I’ve tried all sorts and for my workflow, C1 gets me to a finished photo, with the right amount of control and flexibility 98% of the time, where all those other programs fell short. And the other 2% of the time is when I need to do compositing or something that I can only accomplish properly in photoshop (or a photoshop alternative). But in my experience, learning C1 was not more complicated than LR… it was just… different (and imo better).

The smugness of interdependence is in reality quite obtuse in its simplicity.
