Rugby League players wouldn't be as big and heavy as NFL players because Rugby League is a fast pace, no-stop sport. They run, they defend and they attack all game, for 80 mins. (40mins per half). Were as NFL players only place defence or attack. And play only lasts for a short period with plenty of stopping.

Sydney Rooster, Manly Sea Eagles, Brisbane Broncos and South Sydney Rabbitohs (Rabbits) are playing there.

There are two codes of Rugby played around the world. Rugby League, and Rugby Union. When we say Rugby, we mean Union. Rugby League is just League. The All Blacks are the international side for New Zealand in the Rugby Union. The Kiwis are the League international side. Wallabies for Australian Union, and Kangaroos for League. USA Union side is the Eagles, and the international League side is the Hawks. The NRL (National Rugby League) is played in Australia, with one club, the Auckland Warriors, from New Zealand. Most Pacific Islands play both codes.

It would help you to know that there are two different versions (codes) of Rugby. One is called Rugby League, which is featured here and is being played in 'Vegas soon. The other is called Rugby Union. These two codes of Rugby have different rules, different fans, and different gameplay styles. I'm not going into the differences here because they are too many to mention, I'm just trying to illuminate the ground in which you have chosen to walk.

'All Blacks' is the NZ national Rugby UNION team - a quite different game to Ruby League, with Union having a international competition/ world championships. Players are selected for the Union national teams, not 'choosing' it like a club team. In theory Union (15 players) is amateurs, League (13 players) is professional, with quite different rules. In practice both are at least semi-professional. NZ dominates Union, and Union is a truly international game. Literally dozens of countries, with a regular World Cup comp, regular nation -v- nation 'Test series', and also 'Sevens' (7 players) international competitions, including at Commonwealth Games every 4 years (a 'mini-Olympics'). League not so much. Which is why the current games in Las Vegas to increase the international profile. The main difference with League compared to US NFL is that ALL 13 League players have to play ALL 80 minutes in BOTH offence and defence. With NO time-outs and just a half-time break. And no hard helmets, pads etc. Australian Rules Football is another completely different fast moving games, not dissimilar to Gaelic football in Ireland, and is well worth watching.

It’s also widely acknowledged as the hard League comp in the world. Only the best of the best play in the NRL. Lots of players in the league come from different countries including many Pacific Islanders. League is faster than union. Top players usually have a career of about 15 yrs. Most make their debut at about 20yrs old and play until 35 or so. However some player have had 20yr careers

All blacks is the national team of New Zealand in an other code, that rugby union. This you watching is players playing rugby league. Different from rugby union. So NRL is the big rugby league competition in Australia where most elite players from the Southern Hemisphere and pacific plays in. Another big rugby league competition is in England, the super league where most of elite rugby league players from North Hemisphere plays in.

To answer your question on why New Zealand players couldnt play in The All Black? All Blacks play in another sports Code called Rugby Union- the NRL is another code called Rugby League. Two different games and rules. Players start playing when they young and already have systems and pathways in plays leading up to the major league- btw- the NRL has very lucrative deals that beat All Blacks contracts as well.

Rugby league and rugby union are 2 completely different sports. It would be like comparing ice hockey to field hockey. The NRL is the Australian domestic Competition of League with one New Zealand team (the Warriors). The all blacks are the national team of New Zealand in Union. Super rugby Pacifica is the NRL equivalent. If that makes sense.

The All Blacks are the New Zealand Rugby Union team, and he plays Rugby League a total different game. The World Cup is played in both Rugby League and Rugby Union every 4 years and the national team of every country would be lucky to play 4 games per year. So we will put it in the Australian Rugby League world. Hypothetically I'm Australian played my first 1st grade game for the Newcastle Knights and play for the Newcastle Knights now in the NRL competition if I'm good enough I can play for New South Wales (NSW)my state and Australia my country I will only play a maximum of 3 game per year for NSW and 1 to 2 game a Year for Australia the rest of the time I play for the Newcastle Nights. Just because I played made the Australian team once doesn't mean I play for them all the time it is purely on merit. Sure if I played last time my name is on the list and the position is mine to loose. Ie I'm injured or not playing well enough this year. To put it this way the Australian Rugby Union team is the Wallabies the Australian Rugby League team are the Kangaroos 2 completely different teams playing 2 completely different games. The games are similar to look at to the novice but completely different.

Ruby League is a lot faster and free flowing than Rugby Union. The All Blacks are New Zealand and are about the best. Rugby Union is mainly known as just being called Rugby. To me, Rugby League and in Australia is called NRL, is the best competition for rugby league in the world. And I’m sorry but to me it Is the most exciting sport in the world. Over NFL, Ice Hockey, Basketball, Baseball, Rugby. You name it. You be the judge. Give it a chance and you’ll see what I mean. It’s high octane, non stop, tuff, hard, and incredibly skill full. The NRL is the National Rugby League...a totally different game to Rugby Union.... It's like Baseball and Softball, they're two different sports but similar.. Our local NZ Rugby (Union) players, play in a competition called Super Rugby. Those players work hard in the Super Rugby Comp, trying to gain selection to represent NZ (Aotearoa), in the International representative team, called the ALL BLACKS.... Yes, it’s our International representative Rugby team, like America’s Dream team in Basketball, and that team plays against the world teams of Rugby. (Union) Rugby League players (the opposite code), play in the NRL (National Rugby League) which is the equivalence of Super Rugby, but a far better sport… (Think of it like Rugby League is Baseball, and Rugby is Softball) ...And those players work hard in the NRL trying to gain selection to represent NZ (Aotearoa), in the International representative team, the KIWI’s.... Yes, it’s our International representative Rugby League team, and that team plays against the world teams of Rugby League. Hope that helps
