Rugby league is a fast game. If any player caught trying to slow the play holding down a player trying to get up and play the ball is penalised. There is no play stop play stop unless a serious injury then the referee signal stop and the clock stops as well. It’s a very fast physical sport.

Russell Crowe (Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind, LA Confidential) is part owner of the Rabbitohs, one of the teams that played at Allegiant Stadium. He’s very passionate about them. Rugby League, plays for 2 x 40 minute halves with a 10 minute halftime break. The only time it goes over 80 minutes is if the score is tied at the end. I watched the Super Bowl for the first time this year and found out that it might only be a 60 minute game, but it actually takes 3 hours to play because they have a break every three minutes. There’s no way those guys could play in a rugby league match. They’d be gassed! It’s a pity you missed the games, but there are highlights and full replays available to watch if you’re interested.

Each team gets 4 substitute players, usually it's the big dudes that get a break unless there's an injury of course. Running the substitute bench is a very difficult and important part of the game. Once your allowed number of substitutes are used the players on the field have to finish the game, if you then get an injury where the player has to leave the field, you play with one less. It's a fast paced, hard hitting collision sport. High adrenaline and fans are very passionate. Go the mighty EELS 💙💛💙

substitutions are called interchanges and each team has 4 players on the bench that they can interchange with players on the field, its usually used to give the big guys rest and also as tactic by bringing a fresh player onto the field

Hey guys, the NRL will be coming to Vegas to open their season for another 4 years. So if you are interested you can catch the same event in early March 2025. The 4 NRL teams to travel to Vegas next year will be announced by end of April 2024…. By the way substitutions… 4 players can be interchanged with the 13 on field players 8 times during a game (which is played in two 40-min halves, so total game duration is 80min).

Got 41k @ Vegas for the Australian NRL rugby league game's. There's no stoppages in a NRL game apart from half time which is only around 15- 20 minutes. Please react to more NRL content because it's been taking over on a lot of American reactions channels the past couple of months. Guys, just to clarify...not every player needs to know how to kick unless it's absolutely necessary for a player to kick and even then it could go wrong. Each team has two or three players who do the kicking, the #6 and #7 and even the #9. With the chip and chase, anyone is allowed to regain the ball and not just the one who kicked it. I would like to see you guys react to each round of the nrl with highlights packages. Just google NRL Roundup. NRL in Vegas will back for the next 4 years with two games to kick off the season. Depending on the severity of the injury, you may just get patched up and then back onto the field. One player there did not go back on to the field after his injury.

The Key to playing our game is!! Fitness!!!!!!!! A fit player, unless through some freak accident. Rarely gets hurt apart from a few aches and bruises lol 😂. But it’s a sport you can’t go into half assed. And think you’re going to be Le’Bron James of Footy. 🏉 No sir, hard work in the gym, and a ton of cardio, learning how to overcome (mindset) NZ Warriors are a renowned team for coming back in games they looked like losing. Strength comes in more forms than muscle mass!! To be selfless within the Team structure. As within any team sport. You are serving a purpose higher than your self. Good team spirit and camaraderie is essential. You move as one!! We liken it to our Ancestors who fought in the WW’s Australia 🇦🇺 and New Zealand 🇳🇿. The ANZAC’s So we view the game in the same way. Brothers going to battle together!! If you can get this part right. Then you are ready to learn the game!!

Much faster than Rugby Union, it a game of attrition who is the fittest survives, no time wasting like Rugby Union to give the big men a rest. In League, only 4 subs are allowed but can use several times

I enjoy Union better.... it's the original and authentic form of rugby. I understand they wanted it to evolve but those who enjoy league more than union speak down on union. Union has gotten more "soft" as they would say .. and to some degree that's true..but still I love it . .the implemented rules will are good for the players' longevity to actively compete.

This version of rugby is called rugby league. founded in the North of England. BTW in Australia Rugby League is only popular in 2 states, New South Wales and Queensland were most of the National Rugby League (NRL) teams are from. The other states in Australia are Australian Football League Territory (AFL) separated by an invisible line called the Barassi line. @@christendomempire5657 You forgot to mention the NZ Warriors and Melbourne Storm they have a pretty decent following. Why are Perth, Adelaide, the NZ South Island along with quite a few others now pushing their case to be included in an expanded NRL competition if no one is interested in the game ? Rugby league had a veiwership in Australia of 178 million last year and its continuing to grow regardless of where you want to draw some theoretical line.

​@@Davo-i1s, Perth and NZ south islands are your safer bet for expansion. The South Australian government had no push nor a billionaire to back a new team. Not even pathway to junior rep too. Melbourne on the other hand are now blue printing Penrith and want victorians to play for the storm. In maybe a decade we could have WA, Victoria and Christchurch with centers of excellence like the rest of the NRL.
