As the specialist of the knuckleball, CR7 elevated the game to another level. I have seen multiple players try the knuckleball but very rarely master to the perfection as the CR7. Currently across all the major leagues, I think Ziyech is the one that I have seen scoring free kick with knuckleball technique. And yes, that is a goal. It happened before the introduction of VAR in football. I do not recall this game, but I will say without VAR they will probably call a no goal.

09:03 YES!! It was a goal, but was ROBBED from CR7 because of a mistake from refes who thought the ball didn't pass the line. By that time Video-refes wasn't a thing yet. If it was today that mistake would be corrected. They took away One of CR's best goals ever. But he made sure to Score more of those and few even better.

Both his azerbaijan bicycle goal and his amazing solo flick goal vs Spain were robbed: 1 one for obvious reasons kinda like same reason vs recent goal robbed vs Serbia, but vs Spain ref was confused no var back then. First off ball crossed the line by the time nani teammate touched it so was goal not offside, secondly if they try to claim he was offside when ball was in play…not true by time Ronaldo lobbed it nani was on an onside position when ball left his foot…thirdly Ronaldo doing the chop sending pique out of this universe passed the out of bounds STILL out Nani onside it’s like red forgot about pique!!! So it could’ve even have been an assist if the ref missed the fact that Ronaldo goals were goals for several reasons. Terrible refereeing

11:40 is the most famous one, nani (the player who headed the ball in, even though it was already going in) was in a offside position, so because he choose to tap the ball in with his head, the whole play got ruled off-side and the goal was disallowed, not only would it have been one of Ronaldo’s best individual goals ever, it was also a really important game for Portugals national team. Ronaldo took his captain band off and threw it to the ground after that moment

Well, Im just just going to clarify one or two points in your comment. Nani was not offside (because of Piqué, that player that was sliding after Ronaldo's chop movement), in today's technology, the goal would've had went to VAR and would've been counted. And Nani said in an interview that he thought that the ball was already in, and when he saw that the goal didn't count he was frustrated or sad (don't remember which) because of his action on that play. I'm not saying you're wrong, this is just some more information for those that don't know about this goal

Ronaldo was Real Madrid's number one play maker and scorer back then. The amount of chances he created for Benzema, Higuain, Di Maria etc is crazy. I remember the 2012-13 season Benzema alone wasted more than 20 clear cut goals which Ronaldo created for him. If Ronaldo had a more clinical striker like Suarez back then he would've easily already have more than 300 assist. His playmaking ability is very underrated because most people look at Ronaldo and just see goals. There's a reason he's in the top 10 list of players with the most assists of all time. Also he was not a striker at Real Madrid. He was only used as a striker once in a Copa Del Rey final Vs Barcelona in 2012 which he scored the winning goal. @@SuccessOmemu

@@JET7. Giving an assist or rather making the final pass to a striker is not the same as playmaking. A playmaker reads and controls the tempo of a game, playing the role of a classic 10, while still also being able to make defense tearing passes that create chances for his teammates. Cristiano was fortunate to play with playmakers like Ozil, Modric, Scholes and partially Di Maria but he was never the playmaker, instead he was the spear head of Madrid and man u's counter. His role was mainly gobbling up the goals and that's not a bad thing for a striker

11:38 another Masterpiece that was ROBBED from CR. Again, video-ref wasn't a thing yet and pitch refs thought the ball didn't pass the line before Nani touched it, the last player who was offside. But in fact the ball did pass the line and should've been CR's goal. Another mistake that today would be corrected and that Masterpiece would count!! Edit: I may add this Masterpiece was against probably the best defenders and keeper in the world by that time. The Spanish ones. Guys from Real Madrid and Barcelona. World plus European Champions!! Guys like Pique, Puyol, Sergio, Casillas, Busquets and more. This WAS NOT just another great CR goal.
