I’m nothing to do with liverpool but still get goosebumps when I hear them singing walk on. Hillsborough disaster in 1989, 96 fans lost their lives in the stadium. Every time I hear that song walk on, you instantly know their singing it for those victims. Jon-Paul gilhooley was the youngest victim at 10yrs old, how ironic is it that years later his older cousin Steven Gerrard would become possibly the greatest liverpool legend that there’s ever been. World works in mysterious ways! RIP to all the victims on that tragic day.

Honestly even watching this brings a tear to my eye, its hard to put into words what it means. Imagine walking out in a Liverpool shirt and a stadium singing that to you "You'll Never Walk Alone!!!" , I think I could run through a wall!!!! Its a thing though, Liverpool are known for being unstoppable when Anfield (Liverpool's home stadium) is rocking and the team are in top gear, every teams fans help, but some more than others, Liverpool is FOR SURE one of the teams that is helped more than some of the others by the fans and the atmosphere they create. It was a friendly game, Held in a massive stadium in Australia. Most of the fans in that arena were not even from Liverpool, they are Australian Liverpool fans. This was the first chance they had to see Liverpool play in the flesh, and I suspect the first time many had ever sung "You'll Never Walk Alone" to the team at the game, as they live half way around the world in Australia (USA is closer to Liverpool than Australia is). So although it was not a big game for Liverpool as a team, it was a huge game for the Australian team they played (Australian league is not very high level, MLS is probably better to be honest) and a huge game for all the Australian Liverpool fans, and a chance for them to demonstrate how much they love the club by filling the whole of the 95'000 capacity stadium, with Liverpool fans, hardly anyone , was supporting the Australian team, even though they were mostly Australian people in the crowd. Kid and Mookie...you should revise you teams, support the mighty Liverpool Reds. I cant promise we will win all the prizes all the time, but we will win them sometimes, and usually when we do , we win stuff in the most legendary dramatic style :D YNWA!!!! Dunson fam

In football there’s a saying “Your home fans is the 12th man” Usually in a football team there’s 11 players on each team playing in the field, and when your home fans are this crazy, they become the 12th man almost creating an unfair advantage with loud noises and battle like chants that could pump u up so much that every player levels up, almost becoming super sayan! 😂

@@vaudevillian7 no it doesn’t You are like children in an adult world. Come to Britain. And you will see/hear/feel the difference Celtic, rangers, Man U Leeds Newcastle the southern London clubs arsenal West Ham But most of all Liverpool FC the term 12th man was coined there it refer’s to the Kop. In the 1960’s they would sing current chart songs of that week. But with words changed to suit how we from Liverpool felt. It was the time of the Mersey beat with new bands almost weekly hitting the charts. You may of heard of some of them. Little 4 piece bands like the Beatles churning out songs from the cavern club. Liverpool become the centre of the world in cool and we on the kop new it. It made us feel immortals and as our manager bill Shankly said made Anfield a bastion, a fortress and we believed him. We are a very friendly city but we are arrogant we know we are the best. It’s are one flaw. But we make everyone we meet feel like family. You would enjoy visiting 2 football clubs. 2 cathedrals hundreds of pubs. [mathew street] home of the moved cavern club has over 50 pubs and clubs and you can walk the fall length in under 7 minutes it’s blocked of to traffic so everyone spills out on to the street. Manchester 35 minutes away. Wales 30 minutes beaches all the way to the Lake District ancient city of Chester built by the Romans. All in all. No better place on earth.

And this was in Australia, not home in Liverpool, not in England, not even in Great Britain! Also, when they say the team and fans are known for a great tragedy, you know what that is right? Back when the cheapest tickets were 'standing room' down low near the pitch, and the crowd was funneled toward locked gates and trampled each other. It was horrible horrible horrible. Worse yet, the police and staff who should have made sure such things didn't happen lied and said the fans rioted. They did not.
