The song’s message of solidarity resonated deeply with Liverpool fans, especially in the face of tragedies like the Hillsborough Disaster in 1989, when 96 fans lost their lives. In moments of both joy and grief, "You'll Never Walk Alone" has served as a comforting reminder that Liverpool supporters, players, and the broader community stand together.

My club is a small first division side but I have a great respect and fondness for Liverpool. They are the most magical club in world football.

The song means a lot to the whole of Liverpool, the fans sing this more than once during a match. It’s their Anthem and the city is very proud of it.

Just to note - this is a Football/Soccer team from England UK. This game is being playing in Melbourne Australia on the other side of the planet! The fact that Liverpool Football Club can sell out a stadium 95K+ on the other side of the planet is incredible. If you get a chance, look into the AFL (Australian Football League) which this stadium is the home of. The ground is 3 times the size of an NFL field! Either way, welcome down under and enjoy your stay :) YNWA

I'm a British woman in my 60s.I've witnessed this at Anfield, Liverpool's home ground. It was absolutely amazing. I've never experienced anything quite like it and I've been travelling to football matches for most of my life.

Liverpool are not the home team, they play 10,000 miles away in England. Which is the whole point why the video is so powerful.

Yes, every game Liverpool Play the team, and the supporters sing this very song. Since October 1963 when Liverpool Played against Leicester city football Club. Gerry and the Pacemakers Signatured and wrote the tune. Gerry was a Liverpool Musician and would play at an entertainment club in Liverpool, called the Cavern. The Beatles played there also.

So impressive, especially for the choice of song. I believe it's for the musical South Pacific. Okay I looked and it's from the musical Carousel.

It’s a huge tradition for Liverpool, a very big team globally. They do always sing it right before the game, and usually at the end of a win. While I dont know the history of how that begun, it really feels uniting and just means more. You’ll Never Walk Alone!

Brad, the song was first sung in the mid 60’s when during the Liverpool era of the Beatles and many others, a band called “Jerry and the pacemakers” knocked the Beatles off the number one slot with it, the fans adopted the song, and the rest they say is history, all started by bill shankley, an ex Scottish player, who pulled the club into the spotlight, his managerial skills rocketed the club to fame and fortune. Even today, shankley and the other managers are still revered by the fans. All this from a Liverpool born lad in 1950, ive followed them all my life

Highly recommend you find the YNWA that Liverpool fans sang after Liverpool beat Barcelona in the Champions League Semifinal in 2019.
The Liverpool Team is one of the most iconic teams in World Football, The Red Men of Anfield truly never walk alone, because we fear no team, because our durability and inner strength as a world class team. Look where Liverpool is Today!!!!! Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, and Ronnie Moran and Joe Fagan set the High Standards for others to follow the Liverpool Blueprint.

The fans at Anfield football ground are regarded as a 12 member of the team, NO premier league team feels comfortable at Anfield! Of course Liverpool have many international fans and I suspect many Melbourne fans support Liverpool as well.

Don't be so bitter! Whether you like it, or not, YNWA is an iconic football anthem. If it is as awful as you suggest, why has it been adopted by other clubs like Celtic, Borussia Dortmund, Mainz and Feyenoord? It has real meaning for LFC fans given the Hillsborough tragedy.
