Spain had one of the toughest runs any team could have had during this Euro's. Yet they managed to become the first team to ever win a mayor international tournament after playing against four world-champion nations (Italy, Germany, France and England). They are also the first team to ever win the Euro's while winning all 7 matches, something they have achieved by winning every single match within playing time (no penalties). They are also the team that has won the tournament by scoring the highest ever number of goals (14 goals). And, after this Euro's, they have become the country with the most number of Euro's (4). An absolutely insane performance by Spain!!

Spain had a super tough run and absolutely owned the competition. Beating Italy, Germany, France and England all in the same tournament is really impressive! Also own goals imo are very fair because nearly single time they occur as a result of a lot of pressure the attacking side puts on the defenders. And in the other cases they take place because a player on the conceding team made a huge mistake.

The one against France wasn’t an own goal, the shot was on target and Kounde (the defender) simply attempted to stop it and couldn’t do so, in fact the goal was awarded to the guy who shot the ball (Dani Olmo). The only own goal Spain got in their favour was against Italy, but they still absolutely dominated that game under every single aspect, Italy’s goalie (Donnarumma) saved them from a humiliating loss. The one against Georgia was an own goal AGAINST Spain, in Georgia’s favour

Own goal is a goal in which a player puts the ball into his own team's goal, whether voluntary or accidental. The goal in the 12:25 (Dani Olmo) minute is not an own goal because the ball is already heading towards the goal but the defender cannot stop it or change its direction.

Any foul committed in the 18 yard area (the bigger box area in front of goal) leads to a penalty kick. In soccer you can use every other part of your body to play except your hands (except the goalie, whose also restricted by the 18 yard area), so that was definitely foul play, but these cases are complex sometimes. That incident was definitely a controversial topic during the Euros.

Were Spain lucky when the ref didn't gave them a penalty after a german defender hit Morata? Were Spain lucky when the ref ignored Füllkrug's handball? Rodri was clearly the best player of the tournament, he won because he was the most important player of Spain and the whole spanish game revolved around him, not because he's Rodri. This narrative that Rodri is only valued because of his name when he's a defensive midfielder, one of the most underrated positions, is so stupid. He was the best player in the world last year but he didn't win the Ballon d'Or, they rather give it to semiretired Messi for a gifted WC, he was the best player in the Premier last season and he wasn't even an option to win Player of the Season so stop trying to make it seem like he always wins everything when he's overlooked most of the time.

If you haven't played some soccer to see how close stopping an attack a lot of times comes to being an own goal cause the attackers are doing it right. Like i used top play football and basketball and even tho you have 1 on 1 defending and the field is smaller you feel way more presure when they are making an advance on your goal than any posesion i've defended in basketball, thus making you make mistakes that can earn an own goal. It's like saying own baskets when fighting for a rebound shouldn't count, nah my man give me the 2 points or let me rebound.
