for anyone playing along to the puzzle that lights up panels, you can walk along the panel as they light up to help yourself if that helps anybody. Also fun fact if you either hit cancel or have no mon that can mega evolve then he will yield you a mon that can permanently and its mega stone, which if memory serves is his ampharos, somewhat built in for those either playing nuzlocke mode or not wanting to use the starter for whatever reason.

I knew I could buy the starter mega stones at Bealbeach, so I went in with a level 36 Syrentide (her stone is only accessible in postgame otherwise, and she has the second best base stat total). It went against Theo's level 54 Raptorch. I killed it with Whirlpool. lol. I think the 4th trial (Faith) was originally supposed to be an AI battle, where your pokemon fight on their own without you entering commands. Theo's dialogue suggests that. I'd wondered if they'd finally programmed that in, but I guess they haven't.

QOTD: Definitely Lilly in USUM. In Ultra Moon, my team was barely higher than the Rocket leaders, and having to essentially do a two-on-one battle because her Clefairy sucked ass was so frustrating. When I played through on Ultra Sun a few months later, I grinded my whole team 10 extra levels just to not have to worry about that battle. It was a nightmare.

If you want a good starter with good attack and amazing defences while still not being too slow go for orchynx. Set up a swords dance on that thing and you can k.o. nearly anything with leaf blade meteor mash and earthquacke. It is also a grass steel type so nuclear deals nuetral damage.

It still seems counter intuitive to me that a raptor based Pokémon is a special attacker. A raptor seems like a physical toe slashing hand clawing biting physical attacker with high speed. And the first test is more like the test of joke than wisdom and the faith one was more annoying memorization and persistence than faith. Too bad Theo is a liability. Qotd; Lilly in rainbow rocket is the worst I can think of right now, from ultra sun and ultra moon.

Also I may or may not be biased because I'm not a Lillie fan (her backstory's great but I really don't like how she spends half the game reminding you that Pokémon battling hurts your Pokémon and the whole thing being useless. That being said, USUM Lillie is WAY better than S/M Lillie!)

Avalanche's damage varied because it's basically an Ice-type version of Revenge- does double damage if the user just took an attack in the same turn. Also why it only targets one move. And Theo switching Herolune out for Miasmedic did kinda make sense, at least to me- Herolune's weak to Ice, and Miasmedic is immune to Dragon.
