I still can figure out how to make custom color / flashing patterns. I'm so confused 😕

@PhonkJesus that's okay, it can be confusing until it clicks! Just take it one step at a time. Choosing a pattern is easier, so start with that. First, you go to the mode you want to change. Then open the menus. Then select the blue menu. Do you feel like you're getting stuck on one of those steps or after that?

Do you have to do it for each individual chip? Or can you adjust the brightness on one then transfer a mode and it will copy brightness that I set to the previous chip?

Brightness is global so it affects all the modes on the chip at once. That means it's not part of a single mode so it doesn't get transfered!

after doing it over and over my chip refuses to give the option to pick the variation of randomizations. Just goes from bulb choice straight to random everything, no matter whether its in advanced or normal randomizer

@StarStreamFlowArtist thats the correct order, you go to the advanced random menu>pick leds>Randomization style>randomize!

Turns out the missing detail was when selecting a menu, you need to hold slightly longer till the menu color blinks faster to access the adv version of the menu! :)

Modes can only be sent 1 at a time, this allows for more precise control over what does and doesn't get sent :)

@gosti500 totally would be a cool feature, but due to the size of each mode it ended up being impractical to transfer that much data reliably. For instance a chip with 30 colors, 7 color slots and 25 patterns would have a much smaller mode to transfer than the Duos which have (no joke) millions of colors, 8 color slots, and millions of patterns (accounting for custom patterns) all times 2 because there are 2 leds per mode. It would take so long that it would probably not be able to complete the transfer without failing which would be very frustrating! Maybe in the future with a different transfer method though 😉
