Loved getting the full insight into this camera and seeing you use it first hand! Your photos came out way better than mine btw. CALLED IT! You’re a hero for coming out and meeting me in the frigid cold! LA next time 😂

dude you are so awesome. although, you do remind me that it's the photographer, not the camera. and as much as i love cameras, i know i will never reach my potential without the growth of my skill....love your videos, and your photos; came for the cameras, stayed for the OMAR.

Really timely, Omar. My GR has been feeling a little neglected lately but I did take it out two nights ago and took some nice night-time shots. Like you, I remember that I do seem to accumulate photos before getting them off the card. I'm going to try using the touch screen for taking the shot instead of the shutter button. Great little camera.

Great video. Thank you. Right now my favorite street photography camera is my "old" Lumix DMC-FH25. Great pictures and extremely discreet. And for some reason they are hard to find and when they are found they are relatively expensive.

Convincing my wife to go out for street photography on a cold day in NYC is damn near impossible! I love my old point and shoots. Instead of constantly carrying the big Canon, I have an old Powershot on morning and lunch time walks. It's just so convenient and simple! I hope Canon surprises us with a new Powershot. Otherwise it's gonna be that Ricoh or maybe the new Panasonic that was announced?

6:00 This is why I bought the old Fujifilm X30, 28-112 manual zoom, EVF and tilt screen, not touch though. Otherwise I procrastinate staring at the X-M1 and X-S20, the 27mm, 35mm and 56mm lenses... Happy Holidays. :)

GR series is fun. Currently shooting a GRiiix at mostly 40mm sometimes with the 75mm tele converter. 40mm could be tight sometimes so I may get the wide angle converter which is officially supported and could turn the GRiiix into a 30mm. Only had it for a month. Love it so far.

I sold my X100-V (I know...). Then I bought a GRIII and took it to Disneyland. Photos are better than my iPhone (shooting RAW on the GR) but the iPhone did better when the sky was cloudy. Now I'm thinking of selling the GRIII, but if you're gonna do some pre-sets and some courses, I'll hang in there for those...I need some inspiration and some techniques. Looking forward...

So nice to see OneMonthTwoCameras on your video! Your (public) personalities and interests seem to overlap quite a bit, haha. Also, it that cold over there this time of the year? I'm coming to eastern US (from The Netherlands) next month. By the way, 4:24, I do exactly the same with my full frame cameras and luckily people usually look up instead of at the camera, probably thinking 'wow that guy is quite tall' or something.

I bought one on Craigslist, then sold it. It was too small and fiddly for me. Didn't like the way the lens popped out with a motor. I also needed to have my reading glasses with me because I couldn't see my screen settings without them. Replaced it with a Z30, which is much better in the hand, though certainly larger.

When you take photos with your thumb, does the camera do autofocusing first and then expose? Or do you pre-focus so that the thumb just exposes?
@ogonzilla14 күн бұрын
No focus. It’s a little complicated but I either use the screen as a shutter OR set the screen to activate “snap focus”
