Great video Nicholas. You are right the simulator is good for a while but It won't let you experience the emotions of having real money on the line. I scalp the ES exclusively. The leader off our trading group told us many years ago, "If you are worried about losing $100 (i.e. 2 points in the ES with 1 contract) and it really bothers you to risk that, go do something else". Years later I understand. You have to be willing to accept the risk of losing money and you can't be perfect.

This is more backtesting based. It is no real trading simulator.

I mention in the video, it's good but limited compared to the simulator. If you want to replicate a trading session as closely as possible without needing the live markets then a simulator is your best option. ~ Nicholas

This is the exact same process I went through ~20 years ago when learning to fly airplanes, using MS Flight Simulator along with all my actual maps and instrument charts. The pros and cons were a 1:1 match with what you've identified here, and it dramatically sped up my learning from the safety of my home office. Having that experience in my background, I'm a bit embarrassed that it didn't occur to me until seeing this video that I should do the same to improve my trading. Thanks Nicholas! trading in a demo account is not soo good. I am on a demo account and also have a real account but i am afraid to place trades on the real account. Meanwhile my demo account with low risk keeps growing. I must go over my fears.

Can't you just use brokers demo account? They run on current market. Just fake money.

You can, but as mentioned in the video it means you spend a lot of time waiting for trades. When you're learning this isn't always the right environment if you want to improve quickly, experience more situations and avoid forcing your trades. ~ Nicholas
