The guy you recognized was Robin Lord Taylor. He was in early episodes of TWD and then was cast as the Penguin on Gotham. To celebrate his casting, the show runners offer him a wrap of his TWD character. They flew him out for one day, dyed his hair, got him in costume and walked him on set and then killed his character and drained his blood. All in a days work.

I always thought Merle was killed off too early & that it would’ve been SO impactful if he had been in the line with Rick Glenn, Daryl, & Bob and was the last one killed before shit hit the fan.

I agree with the general sentiment… My only primary criticism of this episode is the incredible good coincidence of Carol’s arrival and Gareth stopping to ask about the shot count and interrupting slaughter (wtf). Would have been much more impactful if One of our group, not Glenn obviously, had been slaughtered before the shot count interruption, for example.

Been totally waiting on this episode. This episode right here is what made me really sit up and take notice of just how much Carol has evolved throughout this show. Yes, she’s had some important moments in season 4 (her misguided killing of Karen and David, the necessary killing of Lizzie), but could you really imagine Season 1/Season 2 Carol single-handedly orchestrating the attack on Terminus? Smearing herself in walker guts, blowing up the propane tank, and going in alone, guns blazing? That whole “butcher shop” scene with the people lined up at the trough totally gave me Hostel vibes. Supremely creepy and terrifying.

The one thing about Terminus is that they used to be a nice little community. But they let the wrong people in and pretty much fought to take it back. And they do have a routine with the people they "invite". Now with Rick, the first hint of what kind of Rick we have is when they take down the butchers and he says "Let em Turn".

At this point I told my fosterson he could no longer watch the show (I always pre-watched it, then sat and rewatched it with him. NOPE.) And here is the emergence of Queen Carol! Whoop! Back in the middle of Season 4, I commented that the season was about the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. Death=walkers, pestilence=the illness sweeping the prison, war=the governor's attack. Lacey asked if we were going to see Famine. I denied it, but I was lying. Here it is. Terminus was Famine-- just how far would people go when they are starving? What would they do for food?

I want to say this episode is where the actress that plays sasha was pregnant but not sure exactly. That's one thing that's fun is spotting the hidden pregnancy among the cast lol. Michonne and sasha 4th and 5th season had babies I think I cant remember for sure but I had no idea until I was watching talking dead. They are actually really good at hiding it. The only time I picked up on one of the cast being pregnant is like 6th season. Again this is all real life no spoilers lol
