Go to P10 and switch it to 001. It disables the pedal assist. Leaves only throttle enabled. Works perfectly.

The assist levels are fractions of the max speed limit that you have selected. So lower the P08 speed limit to 25 and also lower acceleration P12 to 1 and it will behave MUCH better. Assist level 1 is up to 6Km/h, level 2 cuts around 11Km/h, 3=18, 4=22 and 5=25. Unfortunately the newer C29's with the newer S869 controller are worse than the ones with the GD51 since a. You cannot program a speed limit. It is either 25 or no limit if you select 67 at P08. Maybe the S866 is better do not know. b. The S869 display is worse on daylight and viewing angles. The S866 is much better. c. On the GD51 you can see a graph of the power actually used. On the S869 AND the S866 do not have this.

What you are looking for is a bike with a torque sensor, not a PAS control. I can't say anything bad about this bike either. I am over 4000 km. I had to learn to use it. I have used a few rented ebikes, of course they are only 250-300 W, it cannot be compared, this C29 is so much better! It's like you complaining about a sports car that it's too powerful.

On mine I disabled pedal assistant altogether, now I only have throttle control. Which makes bike safe althouth this makes bike more like electric moped that bike. But this is typical with chinese electric bikes. You get what you pay. For me it’s acceptible as I saved thousands of euros for more advance bicycle.

Hold + and - on the controller. Go to menu and change pedal assistant setting acording the manual.

Set P10 to 1 instead of 2. It works great 👍 Now, finally, you can cruise at 5 km/h without hurting yourself.

In the UK the throttle is illegal on normal roads so I can't comment on it's behaviour using this, if you use it without the throttle fitted as it arrives straight out of the box, everything works just as it should. Conclusion, the throttle is the problem, somehow it's messing up the settings or it's not synced correctly with the control panel. Speak to Duotts would be the best advice.

there is something wrong with your bike...... mine with 1st has max under 10km per hour and with 2nd max 16....3rd max 26 .... so i have manage to travel 80 km distance before batterie goes too low !

Its not about max speed, its about power. I can limit speed with P08 setting, it translates to PAS levels, if i limit whole bike to lets say 40, lvl 1 will be 10kmh. Problem is that it always delivers max Power/Wattage/acceleration. On lvl 1 for example, it should provide only 20% of power, not the whole 750w. This bycile is dangerous, i fell 2 times because of it, i turned off PAS completely and only use throttle now, because you cannot control acceleration otherwise

Also, no way you got that range. I did testing, 42km on a circut on 35kmh cruise control without stopping. And than in city limited to 30kmh with pedaling and lots of stops i did 52km range.

@@skyliner4610 i haven't touch menu at all cause everything was perfect setup ☺️ have ride 1200km until now and i only have positive words to say about this bike. Have also replace freewheel with 11/28 so i can feel the pedals at +40km per hour.

@@skyliner4610 ,...80 km in 3,5 hours, average speed 22kmh an max downhill speed at 63kmh ....and return with some juice left probably could ride +10km more... I also order second battery so i can ride nearly 180 km distance with only pedal assistant and low speed 16 km per hour at uphill ofcource.

That happens with all the ebikes. The problem is yours. You need to learn when to stop pedaling and how to play with the brakes in order to control the acceleration and bike speed at every moment...

@@Huck99992 sabvoton programowalny rozwiązuje ten problem tylko większość sabvotonów jest bez systemu pas co tworzy następny problem . Podobno najlepsze rozwiązanie to korba z czujnikiem nacisku mierzy z jaką siłą naciskamy na pedały i o tyle wspomaga.
