Thanks, +Peter Zvekan , one easy way to get to apply styles is with the keyboard shortcut: CTRL + SHIFT + S.

+Peter Zvekan , Good news..you DO have it. It's a built-in style. Odds are it's hidden due to the default word setting 'Show Recommended Styles' Here's how to get to that setting: 1.CTRL+SHIFT+S, to bring up the Apply Styels dialog 2.Press the bottom-rightmost button, STYLES. The Styles Pane will appear at right 3.At Bottom of this pane, press OPTIONS 4. Change the first setting, "SELECT STYLES TO SHOW" to ALL STYLES, and press OK The FOOTNOTE TEXT Style, along with several others, will now becom available to you.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is one which is a pain because I'm writing a paper on there where I'm using the same reference more than once throughout the paper. I called Apple about it and they said there's no option to do that. But it seems like even on MS Word, you're not really creating a duplicate footnote. It's just a symbol that resembles a footnote.

+StikWitClassics , you're 100% correct! Word footnotes can't duplicate reference, so this is a none-to-elaborate work around. Cheers

Quincy Harley Jr Wikipedia could be misleading that way because I saw on a lot of their articles using the same footnotes more than once

the practice is not unprecedented; It's common to use SYMBOLS (e.g. *, †) in footnotes (which Word supports, and perhaps Apple pages does too), when referencing multiples. But numerical footnotes are still expected to retain a 1-to-1 relationship. That may change thanks to sources like Wiki; Future versions of Word may adopt such that Function will follow Form(at) ;)
