This incredible piece of musical genius was composed in 1922, while Dupre was traveling by train from one end of the North American continent to the other. It was officially published the following year, and has been one of Dupre's most popular works ever since.

Il est tellement regrettable que M. Latry n'ait pas jugé nécessaire d'enregistrer une intégrale des œuvres de M. Dupré. Qui d'autres, en France, en aura le talent et la renommée nécessaires pour porter une telle entreprise? La restauration des orgues de Notre Dame et de Saint-Ouen pourraient en être un prétexte supplémentaire. Espérons-le.
