Mad skills.... and great sense of humour! I love the reverse taxi move ... and the steady rolling circles... I think I even saw you do the wall with that thing ;-).

Hahaha thanks Jason Uberig ! The reverse taxi might be my favourite move, no skills required! The more I flew this plane the more I got amazed about what it can do as well!

Wow, Your are a very good pilot Tom! watching you prop hang & rolling circuit the Tundra I 'm convinced into buying 1 the plane has a good flight envelope. I'm buying 1 right now
@TomDeWeerdt7 жыл бұрын
Aussie Digger thanks! With some practice you can get a lot out of it! What stands out most for me now after 2 years is that this is the plane I am flying when all others at my club don't because of heavy winds or water on the field.

Hello Tom! Your tundra is flying very well !!! What changes have you made besides the servos? Did you change the esc, propeller or anything else? Could tell which servo you were using? I would like to make my Tundra just like yours! Thank you!!!
@TomDeWeerdt5 жыл бұрын
Thomas Brum I switched to Turnigy TSS 10 MG servo’s and I swapped the tyres for the old foam ones (saves a lot of weight). Other than that it’s all stock, flying on 3s 2200.

At the end of the video he states all servos were swapped. The info should be in the description. The factory aileron servos are anemic. Mine failed within the first few flights, cheap internal servo gears.

Were did you get the carbon spinner if you don't mind me asking? Great flight by the way!
@TomDeWeerdt6 жыл бұрын
Steven Kurth It’s a 36 or 37mm carbon look spinner, I think it’s made by a British company called Irvine, got it at www.aerobertics.be

@TomDeWeerdt7 жыл бұрын
weedsnager I use Turnigy 3s 2200's (40c), they are pretty far forward, starting at the vent hole.

Hi Tom, can I ask where did you get the spinner from? I like the carbon mmmm
@TomDeWeerdt7 жыл бұрын
Laurence Saville came across it at a local hobby shop, Hobby-In in Waalwijk (NL). It's a 38mm carbon look spinneer from a company called Irvine, based in the UK.

Hey André, I did, even with gail force winds it was impossible to get the tail up... A shame really, would have been good fun!

Well at least you tried. I'm going order an esc on my next round. Eh how do you like the new tires?
@TomDeWeerdt7 жыл бұрын
André Rousseau I like the look and feel, they really look the part, however... the old ones weigh about 20-25 grams a piece, these weigh in at 60-65 grams, so they ad 80 grams in total. I think that made for the difference I said I felt. I think I'm going to put the old ones back on.

Why did you need to change the servos?
@TomDeWeerdt7 жыл бұрын
Just wanted faster, more precise and more powerfull ones in there because of the way I tend to fly it. Plastic gears will wear out, certainly when loading them like I tend to do. For "normal" flying the stock servo's are more than enough (they are part metal gear too by the way)
@walterriely40327 жыл бұрын
My question was a bit tongue in cheek. Am ware of why you did change them it was more about the model is aimed at being a bush plane where it gets knocked around & used roughly, the result is that it's a poor quality product ex factory. Just a shame to make it reliable & user-friendly one has to spend a lot more.
@TomDeWeerdt7 жыл бұрын
walter riely oh you were trolling. That's ok ;) Happy to have helped you make your point. The internet can sleep quietly tonight! All kidding aside, I like my Tundra a lot, it's the third one I've owned, that says something about a plane...
