I still have my MkV. I love it. I made carbon oleos for the gear - the stock gear is its only weakness I think. Great flier and great scale outline. I quite often just mooch around on half throttle just enjoying the outline in the air. I can get 14 mins airtime going gently like that, landing a little above 20%. I think this would be the best model to fly from the speedboat Stuart - if you had somewhere to take off and land :)

EMS seems to be quite competitive from China to Australia. Most of us would probably accept a delay if the pricing was reasonable. I hope you achieve a solution as there’s a couple you’ve released lately that I would have gladly purchased : Gloster Gladiator for instance, but the shipping equaled the purchase price. Thanks for the reply.

I know some will say that I am rivet counting, ( I don’t care 😁) but this excellent representation is missing a small, tear drop shaped bulge on the lower right hand side of the engine cowling, underneath and forward of the exhaust and just behind the spinner. It encased the Mk 2’s Coffman starter. The Mk1 and MkV did not have that bulge as those models had electric starters. But easily shaped from foam, painted and then glued on. Some Mk2’s also had 2x20mm cannon in place of the 2 inner .303 mg’s, identical to the layout of the Mk VB. Such airframes were designated Mk 2B’s. Some Mk2’s, both A’s and B’s, were later re engined with Merlin 45 engines and re designated as MkVA’s and MkVB’s. A late relative of mine who joined 610 Squadron RAF just after the Battle of Britain, flew the 1st of his 485 WW2 combat missions, all flown over Europe, in a Mk2B.

Stuart says “Available from all the warehouses you are able to order from now”. This could have two meanings. 1. It’s available from all warehouses, now! 2. It’s only available if you can order from a warehouse. For UK and Australian/New Zealand customers it’s only available if you can offer up a kidney to cover the shipping. What happened Hobbyking? At one time you were the World Leader in supplying the RC community. In the UK you hardly get a mention on most clubs flight lines, we certainly haven’t seen a new Hobbyking model being maiden’d prior to the human malware.

@@HobbyKingOfficial Recently I tried to buy a Durafly Tundra, it was £195 but only available from Global and the cheapest shipping option was £65. Then there is import taxes and courier charges taking the total to £330. To give you some perspective when the UK warehouse was operating friends at my flying club were buying this for £150. I’m sorry but HobbyKing has become far to expensive to even consider any more. I’ve just looked at the Spitfire, £200, shipping is £65, but I notice that there is a mysterious ‘shipping discount’ in the cart of £21 but that still leaves shipping at £44 making the Spitfire over £300. Sorry it is much cheaper to buy elsewhere - instead of buying a Tundra for £330 I bought an FMS Kingfisher from a UK store for £190. Used to love HobbyKing, have a great range, great unique products, I appreciate the global situation and why you wanted to close your UK warehouse but bottom line it has become extremely expensive now.
