What a grand day for flying and not a dog walker to be seen. Lucky old you ! Get it trimmed out and fly that little beauty 😍

This might be my favorite plane of all . Not only the looks and history of the Spitfire ....but its a GREAT flyer . I really love it . Durafly did a great job with this . SALUTE 🇨🇦 Fly it again and soon Robert . You will love the plane . It should not need trim if the surfaces and CG are good . I'm using a 4S 2200 stuffed all the way forward . . Every flight has been perfect . Truly this one has been one of the best flyers ever compared to many more .

Another great maiden !!! You guys are the best. The mole sticks works believe me. At first the miles will dig around them try to figure out what it’s is. But after that , No More mole’s. Trust me, I put about 20 grand in back yard and the moles attached. I set out traps and these sticks. The trap works but you have to reset and dispose of a dead mole. The mole feels the vibration of worms and insects tunneling through the ground and the vibration from sticks confuse the moles. They leave after a while.👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻

I have one Spitfire from Eflite w/retracts in my house hangar the split flaps work beautiful on mine. Your so correct this warbird is not for beginners but does fly very well with the big wings. Like the P-47 Thunderbolt originally from Parkzone in Silver the big wings fly very nicely good enough for a new pilot that is dying to fly a warbird ! The lights in the video are so sexy! You two brothers are so lucky to have each other as of course you know! I salute you both for your humor/kindness to our sport. Thankyou both!!!

Special salute to the American volunteer pilots who flew this particular marque. In fact Spits had asymmetrical u/c closure, to counteract the effect of the torque swing.. We can see now how the season is changing, with the extra darkness in the morning, very good for the navigation lights! Very well flown & filmed. Not the easiest of planes, some experience needed for this beautiful bird. Big salute from London. 👍

Pilot Robert speaks the truth about trying to correct a CG problem with trim. You can trim for one speed and/or power setting, but when the speed or power changes, the trim will no longer be correct. The plane will not fly like it should "and I don't know what!" The location of the CG is crucial, and the book is not always right! (NC/USA)

I have a durafly Mk9 Spitfire. The CG from instructions was at least 25mm out to the rear. It made for a hand full flying and even worse for landing. Luckily the farmer had just cut the hay so wound up in a nice soft pile of hay (fffffphew). Only problem now with CG correct it noses over very easily on take off and landing. The lights looked good in the dawn. Keep the entertaining video's coming Petrincic Bros

Yes, and isn't the real one a lot longer in the nose, the pilot couldn't see over the nose most of the time, I think you can see by the shape of the fuse it's kind of stumpy around the front, that would have made it more balanced. Looks great on the ground but flying it was a worrying affair with all your money olmost out of control on a frosty morning!

Hi - this plane is so perfect that is copying to the perfection the Spit - dance on the landing .😅😅😅 That was amazing. If you guys seen The Battle of Britain movie ,( 1969) is an unforgettable scene there when a young pilot named Simon ( Nicholas Pennell) , is landing his Spitfire after a training mission and forgets to lower his landing gear . The GC officer warns him by shooting across his nose with his flare gun. After aborting at the limit he lands his Spitfire almost the same manner like Pilot Robert here🤣🤣🤣 .....- Simon is picked up by the squadron leader Skipper ( Robert Shaw ) who ask him - How many hours you have in Spit's Simon ? - Ten and an half Sir ! - Well ,make that eleven ,before Jerry has you for dinner ! ....That's one of the reasons why I follow your channel Pilot Robert & Captain Blaz your flying displays and good mod brings back the need to revisit movie masterpieces like Battle of Britain every time. Thanx a lot .👍👍👍

I feel as though a 2200 4s isn't heavy enough for the CG. Mine is 230g and pushed forward. It needs to be more like a 2600 at 270g for a better nose weight. Even your Zippy 260g lipo still needed trimming to keep that nose down.

I have the same issue with the Galloping Ghost, it pitches up too much even with the battery pushed forward as much as possible but it glides pretty good. I added a thin washer behind the top engine mounts to angle it down a bit more. It helps a bit but still an issue and trimming it down too much makes it fly like shit.

I owned the MkVB version they sold about 5 years ago and also had to mess aggressively with the CG to get it to fly right. I also flew it on a Lemon Stabilized Receiver, which helped matters considerably. About 2 years back I took the aircraft off and forgot to check stabilization was on, and the bird got far away from me... and low. I lost orientation and she went in. No parts available as this is what Hobby King does. Total loss. I check stab function before every flight on every airframe now.
