That was great! Nice takeoff. A table landing would be awesome but the odds are not in the Tundras favor... Fun to watch John and GB. May the Tundra never hit its namesake, at least too hard anyway. 👍👍 AirHammer out!!

bush flyers are boring when there is no wind. And when you have a big grass field available with shortly cut grass you can fly in almost any wind because of how little risk there is on landing. I have flown from tiny islands in the middle of rivers, to much wind and landings become to nerve wrecking. Medium constant winds are the best for bush flyers. Turbulent wind is not relaxing unless you have 3 axis stability.

Bought a green Tundra soon after I first started flying (about April 2020) and loved it, until its inevitable newbie demise about four weeks later. Wanted to buy another, but they've been out of stock until just a couple of weeks ago. I ordered another and built it up a couple of nights ago, but haven't flown it yet. Can't wait! I expect it to stick around much longer as my skills have improved substantially since then (but still have a long way to go). I really believe it would be hard to find more value for the dollar in an aerobatic capable high-wing plane than the Tundra. BTW - I'd highly suggest you try an OMP Bighorn if you really want a performance/3D-capable high-wing airplane. It'll perform admirably on 3S 2200, but stick a 4S 3200 in it and it becomes an absolute BEAST! As always, thanks much for sharing. Steve

Awesome video! How much down elevator % do you have programmed with the Flaps?
@JohnVHRC4 жыл бұрын
I don’t use percentages. I use flight modes and trim.
@Wilmer7874 жыл бұрын
@@JohnVHRC Alright, I'm using Futaba for now and can only mix % of elevator.
@KainniaK Жыл бұрын
You need quite a lot, without any down elevator mix on stock unless you fly it super super nose heavy as soon as you go 90 degree flaps it shoots 45 degrees up even at low speeds. The best way to fly it to push your battery as far back as possible and even then you need some up trim cause of how nose heavy prone the plane is.

Hey John. Just retired an airplane today that I could never get to fly correct. Retired means Burred it nose first straight down into the dirt. Never flew correctly anyway. Time to get this one. Was the Tundra in this video stock. If not, what were the upgrades. Let me know please. Thanks.
