You should have soaked the gp with BP blast for several days and also driving the truck to get some heat cycles

I have a glow plug that snapped off too but I've just kept driving it, is that bad?

If it's at that point... I would definitely take it to a shop because they have the proper tooling to center and set drill depth for removal As well as proper extractors
