This must be around the time that John & Simon were not speaking to each other. Note the limited eye contact between them. John had said in an interview in early 1984 that they stopped talking for a long time and had recently resumed their friendship. So sometime in 1983 was the time they were not speaking .

I doubt they ever really stopped talking to each other. I think Andy would mention it in his book if something like that happened.. But they had some little or maybe bigger fights for sure, especially in early years..

Good song and one of my favorites but they are not preforming it live as it indicates here. This song sounds completely different when played live. This audio is the studio version of the song.
