Not many bands have a song with this 'power' - emotions, visual, hypnotic and rhythmic punctuated with superbly mysterious vocals and progressively intensifying synths and bass. Wonderful. If this song was a part of human experience it would be an orgasm.

I absolutely adore the "Rio" album. But by far, the track that affected me most was "The Chauffeur." From the time I was 15 until this day, whenever I hear this song, it affects me in the most erotic ways. I was 15 when I met my husband, and I wanted to do the naughtiest things to him while listening to this music. Now, at the ripe old age of 46, whenever I hear this song, I still want to do the naughtiest things. I applaud any band who can create the thrill I felt back in the day.

I really like Dom, he compliments the rest of the band and plays just what he needs to play, without going over the top and does it very well. And don't forget he was a writer on the last album. Sorry to say it but I think Andy was on a bit of an ego trip with the reunion. He got very sloppy....

But you have to understand that the rest of the band has made it quite clear that first things weren't working out with Andy so things had to change and second in order for things to work Andy would have to change. This is Duran Duran. You don't have to like it but for now. This is the way that it is. :)

@Stldetrl its a free country in the sense that we can post our opinions online, like now, and discuss any issue we like without fear of being taken away or tortured by the authorities. so, to some extent, we live in a free country. In saying that, mechanisms of social control like the media and the authorities are absolutley necessary to maintain order in the western countries otherwise we could be in the dark ages of Iran or Iraq and such like.

A year or two ago.. John Taylor said that he would still be involved with Duran Duran in the studio making albums, but would no longer be touring. I wonder what changed his mind? Frankly, Duran Duran IS Simon LeBon. He could go solo if he wanted to. Nick Rhodes is very important with his song writing / composing, but even Nick is replaceable. I hope John has gotten over his love affair with Obama and will not repeat his sickening endorsements of Obama in 2012. No artist should get political

@Stldetrl Supernatural beliefs are what controlled western civilisations before modernity and the enlightenment period? Thanks to Scotland, we moved to modernity. I agree religion has been used very very badly by some non western countries but i was commenting on how free the west is. I hope most people have the view that having social control is essential to keep a tab on the risky behaviours of some groups which are threats to our safety. We need them. +Rocio Anahi agreed. he's part of the history, there's no denying that. but he's no longer part of their present. by his own choice. His actions and comments towards the band are that of a complete stuck up ass. He always thought he was more of a "real" musician than any of them. always acted as if he was doing them a favor by playing with them. Well, I guess he did himself no favors since he was a nothing without the guys. His solo work epically failed. most assuredly not due to a lack of talent. Andy is an amazingly talented musician. But his epic solo failure was probably more a result of how difficult he was to work with, his massive ego. Word gets around, and I'm sure no one wanted to work with someone who reminded everyone what a gift he was to the world of music. Good riddance. The heart and soul members of Duran are still apart of the group. Those who loved the group from day one, who unlike Andy, didn't see it as a means to a more legitimate musical end.
