My brother you missed two points: 1- The Durand line was a lease agreement between Afghanistan and the British empire, therefore, the British had to pay large amount of money to Afghanistan annually. As the British is no more giving money to Afghanistan therefore, the agreement is automatically cancelled. Also Pakistan has to pay the due money after departure of the British to Afghanistan (one day we will get that too). 2- The Durand line agreement was between Abdul Rahman Khan and Sir Durand. It doesn't mean that all Pashtoon should just cowardly follow what two people did on them. Germany was also divided by USA/The British and USSR by Berlin wall, but when the people of Germany decided they broke the Berlin wall and became one country. We Pashtoon should do the same. please do not promulgate cowardness among Pashtoon. Ghani government also signed an agreement with the USA agreeing to give bases to USA for unlimited time, but the people fought and ousted USA and freed Afghanistan. If Afghans were thinking like you we would have stayed the slaves of the USA saying there is an agreement for unlimited time, so we cannot get back our Afghanistan. Please, at least keep the cause alive! some day a brave generation will stand and unite Afghans/Pashtoons like the time of Ahmad Shah Baba.

Then why it is mentioned in Durand line agreement that the British East Company will provide money each year on regular basis to the Government of Afghanistan? that is lease. Moreover, KPK is people not animal to be sold. Shah Shuja also sold the whole Afghanistan to the British, but we as people fought and got our freedome, because we are human and no animal therefore, no body can sell us. Of course a referendum was held. But my friend, do you also know the question of the referendum? Do you know at that time Bacha Khan was? What kind of vote is this when the people are asked the question: if you want Islam, then you have to vote for Pakistan. With respect to Tariq professor, the date of Durand was up to 1998. Afghans just want a free country to Pashtuns, it’s not about that Afghans want those lands back as part of Afghanistan. By purpose/ systematically Pashtuns are kept away from development, education. Even though Panjab is always in peace, they push war to Pashtun areas.

Don’t you see the difference between Punjab and Pashtun state, between level of education, development, life style, drug addiction etc, even removing Pashto language from Pashtun schools. if anyone asks me in the world what countries belong to Pashtun, I want to proudly say at least 2 countries Afghanistan and Pashtunistan or whatever name you want to give it. Pashtuns in Afghanistan and Pakistan are never comparable. I know Afghanistan has its own challenges, but the difference languages people are somehow same treated. Rawalpindi agreement was regards to policy however Durand line agreement was separation of one people and devision of one country therefore the two cannot be compared. Second thing is if one claims to be Pashtun then by default he is Afghan. Afghanistan signed the Durani Line Agreement for 100 years with Britain. When Pakistan came into existence, Pakistan occupied Afghanistan's land. They should end the occupation immediately. Salam Bro your story about the Durand line is totally different from the real story the agreement between British and Afghanistan was for 100 years it was written in that agreement the British government most return Afghanistan land to afghan government after a century. And Afghan government saved this area name in archives as Durand line because the agreement was with Durand the British government representative and Afghan government . Because it was a kind of contract between British and Afghan government It’s Afghan government lands.and it’s the Afghan government duty to take care of their own land through Attock and all border of Afghanistan . And Pakistan government has no right to separate this area from Afghanistan. if they try it will cost more expensive for Pakistan.

Common masses don’t know these treaties and agreements. What they know is how they are treated by thier government. And there is always voices among our pashtoon community for biased treatment by Pakistani establishment (as they are real state stakeholders). Another thing which is reality that treaties and agreements whether national or international have certain limitations. There is no power to neutraly implement these agreements. It’s totally matter of power. Even today, natanyahu visited USA which have arrest warrant from international institutions but who cares. Reason is power. No agreements and treaties work once there is power. Simply “Might is right”

Tari Pathan you have misunderstood the history, Amir Adul Rahman Khan did not want the border agreement but it was pushed by the British because the Pashtun areas were very unstable and Britain wanted it over control, therefore Afghanistan was pushed to sign or the Britan was ready for next war in Afghanistan. at that time Afghanistan was very weak because it had overcome a civil war and small wars against USSR. The Agreement has no legal status it has been discussed on an international level

The residents of kpk should have the right to decide whether they want to be part of Pakistan or Afghanistan. If a referendum were conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), I believe 99% of the population would choose to join Pakistan. Although I was born in KPK and am ethnically Pashtun, I identify first as a Muslim and then as Pakistani, not as Afghan.
