I have a 2019 3.6 . They rear both have the same shocks (sachs) but the left has the different shock mount than the right? Is that normal.

I have a 2014 DD v6 Rallye with Nivomat rear shocks. Would you be able to provide me with part numbers for the shocks you replaced the Nivomats with?? Also I'd be willing to purchase your Nivomats if you still have them laying around.

I'm looking to do this on my "20 DD R/T but I am curious how it affects towing. I don't plan on towing with it but you never know. Have you done any towing after the swap?

Just to be safe I’m not towing in it, if I need to I’ll just borrow or rent a truck. The mopar shocks that I put on the rear can’t handle 5000+lbs of tow

Any idea what happens if you put 22s on without the lowering? How it looks?

It’ll get higher not lower but depending on the tires you get it could “appear lower” because the taller the tire the more space it will use in the wheel well area

Good info here. What springs did you end up going with? Did the new shocks come with a new upper mounting bracket?

Went with the eibach pro kit, model specific. I went to a dodge dealer and ordered regular mopar shocks. But the shocks did not come with the upper mounting bracket, dust boot, or bump stop. I had to order individually. I just ordered all new parts even though I could have used the interchangeable ones.

@@AlexsRTLife Sir, I'm wanting to do the same to my Grand cherokee. I found replacement shocks, would you be so kind as to tell me what what upper mounting brackets you ordered part number, because I can't seem to get anybody to answer this question? I found some KYB shocks that look just like the worn out shock you showed in your video, shorter stem... but I have no idea what part number or where to get the mounting brackets to fit the standard gas shocks to mount it to the Jeep. I literally had to show the dodge dealer what the part looked like and they were able to pull it right up and order it, they also had one in stock. But I unfit don’t have a part number

I swapped out the shocks and have been having all kinds of problems… there’s noise everytime I hit the smallest bump in the road. The axle is also having issues. Have you experienced any issues?

I haven’t had Any issues. A number of questions come to mind. What shocks did you use? Who installed them? Did they install them correctly? We’re the shocks defective? Did other components of the vehicle have pre-existing issues? Are they under warranty? I would start by taking them to the installer

@@AlexsRTLife I got the regular mopar shocks. I have a connect at the dealer so they are reordering me new ones. I’ll see what happens when they put them on. Also need to get the alignment done and that may be another reason why.

That could be the issue, but if didn’t have any of those issues until after they were installed that dealer sounds shady..

Hello, I have thiccc boys like these in my 15 DD RT and I have about 60k miles on them, should I replace them ? And if I do what should I replace them with? I load my vehicle some times so I won't install Mopar's thin boys, i want something that can hold some load and be gentle in bumps even if they were a bit expensive, i really want your advice and thanks

Best advice is to find out if your vehicle has the LL shocks. Because if it does you will have to swap those out for regular ones. If it doesn’t have the LL shocks, it’s just a matter of putting on a set of lowering springs.

99% of v6 durangos do no have load leveling shocks. Its mostly on v8s because of the tow capacity.

Does Gt and Rt use the real load leveling suspension shock? I have a 2018 GT v6 awd, im trying to buy all the tow package parts so i can tow 6000 pounds.

Some RT & GT do some don’t. But usually dodge put the LL shocks on models with the tow package.

Those are called BOLTS not NUTS. You are 1 heck of a mechanic.
