@myron muse not the same really. block wise, yes, electrical components that run the run engine? yes (injectors, sensors, etc) and even the heads are the same. the 360 has a 4 inch bore and 3.58 inch stroke while the 318 has a 3.91 bore and 3.31 stroke. So really the only difference is cubic inches. Believe it or not the cam on the 318's have slightly more lift than the 360's cam.

Simply testing the vehicle capabilities. Just knowing what it can do and doing it. Like going fast in a fast car down a quarter mile. Take your truck or Jeep off road. It makes sense.

heads, cam, and a few more things are different. if just the heads were different, they would be the same displacement either the 5.2 318 or 5.9 360. learn before you speak myron.

the 318 and the 360 are the same damn motor. just different heads...the 318 does have more dependable heads, yea, but its the same damn motor geniuses
