the first time i smelled durian i hated it. I had just moved to Malaysia with my Chinese husband. I couldn't understand where the smell came from and my head ached. After about a year i tried it and i absolutely love it. 34 years later every durian season my husband and mother inlaw always buy durian for me. It is my favourite food :)

Hai, I'm from Indonesia and I love Durian so much.. 😘👍👌. Maybe because my parents been intruducing me with durian since I was child and in my country we have a lot kind different durian's with different size & different colour's... Red, green, orange..and very cheap price betwin one middle size durian from 1 to 5 dollar US. I think you should visit Indonesia guys... or u can google first.... Good luck. 👍

Hey man, I remember eating durian when I was little. It's actually really good if you pick the right one, we always get it fresh off a tree because my family had it growing in our back yard. I think you need to get it fresh, look for someone who knows where to buy and knows how to pick a good durian. Good durian should taste like creamy buttery candy.

a little tips and trick here... actually you can wash out the durian stink smell by using the durian itself... use the holes (where the fruit meat are) in the durian skin as a bowl, and wash and rub your hand inside it.. it'll washes the stink instantly... so dont throw away the skin, use it to wash off the stinks and.. the ripe one have creamy texture,and honey like taste while the unripe one taste bad and the meat are harder...

Looks like she picked out a really great durian for you! (Didn’t see much of the small one yet-just began watching.) That deep, dark yellow color makes me wonder if that’s a Chanee (spelling?) Durian?! Supposed to be one of the best! Now, I have to return to watching the video to see if you like it! Edited to say: I’m eating Thai Monthong durian right now! Have to get it frozen here in the USA, but I’m lucky to get the whole frozen durians; they seem to stay yummy even after being frozen to ship, but the frozen durian in packages doesn’t travel very well, in my opinion.

First time eaters must take a good gulp of the fruit to fill your mouth to cover your palate. The structure of the fruit, it's smell, sweetness, bitterness is too complex to be taken in a pinch. It's the only fruit with a tinge of alcoholic taste amongst others and no words can describe the taste.

In Malaysia this fruit known as king of fruit.. 98% of us love this fruit VERY MUCH.. and we wait for it every year bcos we cnt met them for the whole year.. Only a few month in a year we can eat them..

When i visited thailand, i used to get this smell in every market and I was not able to understand from where tat smell was coming. Later on, while visiting floating market, a vendor gave me the durian icecream saying its pineapple flavour. Fromt hat time onwards, I used to believe that never try pineapple in thailand 😂😂😂😂. A couple of year later, one of colleague bring the durian toffee from singapore and at thay time i realizee that it was the durian not pineapple.

Durian is superfood. It has lots of fiber and vitamins, especially vitamin B and C, google it! There is no bad thing about this fruit. It has a unique, ine of a kind taste that most people in SE Asia love and taste/smell is acquired, if you don't like the taste/smell, it means you are not openminded! So stop criticizing of its smell and taste. You'll just offend us who love durian!

u guys should try Malaysia's durians, it has totally different taste than those in Thailand or Vietnam coz the durians fell by it self when riped, as opposed to plucking it from durian trees

+Vinh Bảo Not durians you don't pluck it off trees that are maybe 20~30 ft high . The fruit drop off when it ripe and not all durians have the same flavor as in sweetness , texture or smell.

Instead, have an impartial mindset first and then slowly focus on its changing taste in your mouth. It is a wonder between sweet and bitter, more appreciation on the bitter side.
