Honestly, Durian smells like hell yet taste like heaven. In this video, we can see they did the wrong method to open and taste durian. For taste, we should eat a big chunk of durian straight away into our mouth, not a small bite of it. To open, we need to crack open the lines of durian, starting from its bottom with any aid of knife or anything sharp.

I'm really confused why they keep saying that durians taste like onion or "oniony". I like onions and it taste nothing like durian. It makes me wondering like "do we have a completely different kind of onion or what". But from what I've seen and taste in my foreign friends' house the onions look and taste exactly the same.....

durian is delicious but it takes a few mouthfulls to really get used to the smell. durian candies are yummy and the durian ice cream is the bomb. durian is really expensive nowadays though.

This is very common that durian gets a mixed reaction. We have a massive durian tree in our backyard in Sri Lanka and my sis n I would be the first to pick fallen fruits. However, my mom never even come near the fruit ( lucky no need to divide it by 3 😂😂)

I tried some before and I never smelled anying bad from it and it didn't taste like anything they mentioned in this video. I honestly think they have a weak palet towards fresh fruits, which is funny because I had heard people hyping the "funkyness" of this fruit prior to trying it myself only to be indifferent when eating it.

My parents says that 'You must have the perfect timing for eating durian' (From when they got harvested and then waiting for some days after harvested) I don't know how to choose the right Durian though, but my parents always 1.Checking their color, 2. Measuring how hard or soft their shell is and 3. The smell... It's hard to get the right Durian, eating too early or too late will have the different taste and smell... (Or maybe at least you can eat 1 days difference from the perfect time) That's what I know... Or maybe that person who says Durian is bad is truly dislike Durian, like I dislike a taste of Thai food...

It's uniony / caramel / and its like some thing bbwed or grilled /a bit of banana/ meny tastes. I had to get used to it but the taste is interesting. But get it fresh and not frozen end look at the color If Its to light and a bit hard ist not ripe it must be full on yellow and soft.
