Heavy wind test for X-mid. Wind was 15m/s or 33,5mph. The tent was stable except when one of the pegs got loose. This is pretty ordinary wind conditions if you are hiking in the swedish Mountain range.

Great video you got the right side up against the wind

I’d recommend anyone using an Xmid in strong winds to upgrade their corner and guy line stakes to the Easton 9”. They kept mine steadfast in 40mph which the supplied stakes absolutely do not!

Do you think MSR Groundhogs would work as well?

Defo use Easton 9" nails and spare guylines on the extra tie out points. Good test but a crackin' tent.

I'm not planning to use mine to pitch in nasty wind, but it's nice to know if a storm rolled in it's solid enough

My x-mid collapsed in the night because of strong wind. One of the poles made a hole in the fly. The ground was very rocky and uneven, I was very tired and had to pitch it with stones in darkness, but I probably couldn't do it better anyway. I gave up and slept outside.
