Can’t believe how many people thinks that leon and ashley have a romantic chemistry. Most of the game is just ashley trying to flirt with him but he either acts oblivious to it, or just takes her flirting in a different way. It’s true they build a strong relationship in the remake, but it’s more like a siblings relationship. Leon likes ada, he likes to help the helpless as we saw that in re2r when he told ada of the reason why he joined the force, that’s way he is so kind and caring for ashley. He treats ashley like a kid, he doesn’t find her attractive, he’s just being nice. Plus he rejected her in a nice way in the end of the remake, let alone the og💀 Leon and ada have been a thing since 1998, there no way the’d change that in remake games, so u ashley’s new look simps should stop being delulu.

He’s a government agent, she’s a mercenary/spy, their relationship was never gonna be perfect, but do they love each other? Yes 100%. I don’t remember leon denying helena’s words about that. A complicated relationship is more interesting than if the 2 were finally together. In any show where there is a couple that takes a long time to get together, people hope too much that it will happen and when it does, people lose interest in the show and they are disappointed. from the point of view of capcom, I think this makes their relationship tragic, we feel sorry for them, this is the story of a man and a woman who love each other but cannot be together, simply the smart people would get what capcam is trying to do. at least in the remakes we were given to understand that he loves sincerely, and she loves him too, his reaction to her alleged death, his reaction to appearing in RE 4 when she was tied up, her reaction to octase flies with him, how she looked at how he sailed away, and in general, look not at what they say, but at emotions and eyes, they never lie, if you look at their faces and eyes in scenes where they are together, you will understand everything, so yeah u should stop being a delulu. If u think everything in a game like resident evil is going to be sunshines and rainbows then u need to play smth else lol, that’s if u even played them. Ada never betrayed leon, yes she did manipulate him in re2 when he was a stranger to her and that’s it. she has a literal job to do, just like u can't expect leon to drop the gov agent act for her u can't expect her to stop being a mercenary for him, shes always helping him & saving his life, risking her own job in the process, yet y'all just focus on the damn betrayal that happened when they’ve literally just met. Ada owes him nothing, She's a mercenary who god know what’s her real purpose is, and decided to save his life multiple times, when she could’ve just killed him, She has helped this man consistently. There wouldn't be any Leon without Ada. Also she didn't "use" him and toss him away, She clearly still cares about him if she saved his life even after both of them finished their missions. Yet ur acting like she approaches him intentionally so he could do her job for her, she’s literally helping him in the shadows and risking her life for him while doing her job. if you understand the lore there is literally a cutscene where ada says something about leon changed her, he is the first person to actually care about her and jump to take a bullet for her ofc she loved him. she literally said " i'm a big girl leon i can handle myself”, and she never been irritated instead she jokes about it “ i'm beginning to feel like your personal bodyguard mr kennedy”, how’s that ‘using him’? none of ada's missions required her to save leon yet she did since the moment she saw him. She was literally threatened by her organization and Wesker Just cuz she saved Leon's life, so she kept helping him secretly so she can protect him from them. she is madly in love with him, She cant be with him cuz of her job so when Philip told her to go &be with Leon before she regrets, she was planning on quitting her job to be with him but couldnt cuz Leon was working for government. Tho they canonically had a date if not more with a “dinner night+hotel/motel room” after re4, that’s literally what the director of re damnation said. Btw Have you read RE Archive book? Capcom literally wrote this"Ada had fallen in love with Leon. Awakened to a new and forbidden love, Ada sacrificed her own life to save Leon from danger”. Not just that, the director of Re2r said in interview Leon and Ada fell in love with each other. So how can this not be love? And about ashley… Government agent with severe ptsd situation that have feelings for a mercenary, and a wimp college girl who’s the president’s daughter, ah yes fat chance. No matter how much you cry leon won't hit on ashley, if you really played the remake, he doesn't see ashley as a love interest and Ashley is just infatuated by her knight in shining armor, while leon having an older brother sort of affection. He’s mentally so much older and incompatible with ashley due to his trauma etc, and due to ashley’s too childish personality. They did grow a bond because they were together for hours and both tryna survive, if anything Leon with Luis/claire had the same thing, but it’s more passionate with the wimp due to their big age and personalities gap. Why cant y’all just appreciate their friendship instead of forcing a ship that will never exist? These new gen remake fans pretending as if ada and leon arent the only couple with a canon kiss and constant hints about their relationship. It's not an opinion, aeon had something unlike the others, just fan ships. You might already know everything i’ve said so far, but u are simply a delusional shipper? Who knows.
