@shkljg The most not. they can reach speed of a heavy storm, but the dangerous thing is just the stuff flying around that can hit you. the wind itself is harmless. the most dust devils aren`t that powerful, so there`s no reason to be afraid. I love them. greetings

That,s effed up.I live in the eastern part of the US and I,ve seen one in the parking lot of a farmer,s market.It was a very warm and calm day and all of a sudden I saw a column of swirling rubbish 200 hundred feet high.It was brilliant.

@systemaddictshock Although most would wear white to reflect heat however with darker colors, heat doesn't penetrate that deep. Black may be hot on surface but cool on the inside. White may be cool on surface but warm on the inside. Tan or tan-ish clothes is best of both worlds.

If he thinks that's "an absolute trail of devastation," he's never seen the aftermath of a tornado. Or maybe he's just prone to hyperbole.

While it's true that real tornadoes over deserts are sometimes called dust devils, this was a true dust devil; these are not related to true tornadoes. However, this dust devil was pretty strong, nonetheless.

I was just like you thinking white is the best. I tried tan, tried black, tried gray. I found tan to be the best. Feels the best, actually. Thanks for asking.

@QuicksilverdotFX You're not an archaeologist. If you were, then you would be able to spell your profession correctly and detail which area of study. However, I do agree that tan or "khaki" works the best in desert climate not a dark olive drab color like what these guys are wearing. The thing about the Sahara, its dry climate. if wind more than 3m/s is present, then it wouldn't matter as long as clothing is loose fitting and able to radiate heat. Now try stagnate air, guaranteed fish fry!
@QuicksilverdotFX13 жыл бұрын
@systemaddictshock Good for you? Children don't notice those things. Explain why people that travels through desert wears dark colors. Hell, you can even google it. It's a known thing ever since human kind has lived or traveled through the desert.

@systemaddictshock This isn't a problem. The subject wasn't my profession. If it was the subject, I would of course give something. I was giving you REASON for being in Sahara desert. Stop trying to fix your inferiority complex.
@systemaddictshock13 жыл бұрын
@QuicksilverdotFX Here's the problem. You claim to be an Archaeologist with experience in the field. You referenced being in the Sahara Desert to establish credibility. However, you failed to present evidence. If I am going to correct somebody with research, I better damn well present my evidence. This is academics 101 and should be easy to you, yah grave robber (thats an ad hominem by me in case you forgot). I'll belittle you all day if you want.
