The newest live version from last fall is at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX

Not adult TW - Ale was 13, Pau was 16, Dany was 18. Still teenagers. If you want adult TW then the Teatro Metropolitan performance of this song is it when they were 17, 20, and 22. The bass here is a Rachel Bolan (Skid Row) signature model Spector. Ale does not have a signature model, yet. Ale’s current bass is a custom five-string Spector with the color, Ale’s Inferno, named after her, as she designed it. Ale is the principal composer/writer of this song at the age of 13! It started life as a bass riff she composed. Their first songs that they wrote were the ones on their EP Escape the Mind from 2015. Four of these were written individually and one jointly. Most songs start with Pau coming up with a fragment on the piano. Then the three fill out the song together.

I suggest you continue reacting to their performance at "Lunario" and any of their songs will be perfect because all those songs are rock masterpieces. But the best thing would be that you continue in the order in which this great concept-album was conceived, created and presented, remember TW doesn't make mediocre songs. Thank you for reacting again to TW. Greetings from México !! 🤘😁✌️

Ale's bass teacher also taught all the girls music theory and one of his assignments to the girls was to write a song, each one of them, by themselves. They were(I think) 9, 12, and 14yrs old. They began to collaborate with each other when writing shortly after that.

The bass player is Ale (pronounced Ah-lay). I am sure someone else has told you but their second album is a concept album and it tells the story of a woman who loves someone who doesn't love her back. The songs are in order and they tell the story of a woman's decent into madness and murder and suicide. It is an incredible feat of musicianship that a 13 or 14 year old (Pau) conceived of this story and then wrote songs and music in a second language. Dust to Dust is the first song on the album. You can watch all of the songs in order from this performance (I think) and watch them in order. In this video I think Ale is 13, Pau is 16 and Danny is 18. A 13 year old laying down this bassline is also insane

Great reaction! Ale` was 13 years old at the time of this performance. Drummer Paulina starts most of their songs on piano with a melody and a verse and chorus. She brings it before her sisters and together they transpose each individual instrument's part. They finish the arrangement adding lyrics, bridges, and additional verses until they arrive at a completed song. They started writing and recording seriously when they were 15, 13, and 10 years old. 🗣 Thank you for ALL your support! 🤘🤓🍿

Pau came up with the concept but it was mainly just murders. Her sisters asked in horror "why is it so bloody?!" So they all got together and came up with the concept album _Queen of the Murder Scene,_ which tells the story of a disturbed young woman's inner journey from desire to obsession to murder and madness. The songs are told from the point of view of either the young lady's inner psychopath or her good side, which has a conscience - until it does not. Dust to Dust is a prologue. The Spanish section is that of a preacher saying that you can receive salvation but it is something that you must work for. The lyrics have deeply religious undertones - life is short and unpredictable (“How quickly things can unfold”); there is an afterlife (“and we shall start again” and “the truth found in death”); we should distrust false prophets (“where are you going? Don’t trust all that you hear”); and judgement (“I don’t seek right or wrong”). The next song, 'Crimson Queen', introduces the love interest.

Lunario is a nice, large modern performance arts entertainment facility in Mexico City. This concert was a huge deal for them. The crowd, largely long-term fans came literally from all over the world to watch this show. Ale composed the bassline of this song and the rest of the song evolved through the collaboration with Pau and Dany. The usual way they compose their music is Pau starts it off with the beat, the main riff and some lyrics. Not always, because each of them has composed complete songs. Shortly after their cover of Enter Sandman went viral and they gained a lot of media attention, Ale's bass instructor and mentor to the entire band challenged them to compose their own songs. That's really how their original compositions started. Then they attended a summer session at Berklee College of Music in Boston where they learned music theory and song composition among other things that further refined their skills. They recorded a six song EP called Escape the Mind which is comprised on their earliest compositions demonstrated their search for a music style and genre. Their first album, XXI Century Blood further defined their sound as hard rock. All throughout this time they were also arriving at their composition process. Although each of them were coming up with material, they were assisting one another in completing the songs. But it was during the composition of the songs for their second album, Queen of the Murder Scene, a concept album structured as a Rock novel about a troubled girl whose obsession turns to stalking and then murder and eventually madness for which Dust to Dust serves as a prelude, that The Warning arrived as their current method of creating their music. It is usually a Pau initiated process where she will create a rough demo on a piano or a midi keyboard plugged into her laptop. She presents it to Dany and Ale and they decide whether to work on the song or reject it and move on to something else. Pau is the primary lyricist, but both Ale and Dany contribution other lyrics in their process. QOTMS was pivotal for them as a band in that it was not only an ambitious undertaking for three teens to tackle, but it also pushed their limits at the time. The experienced a great deal of frustration with the songs but persevered to make something that is astonishing. Many of us fans believe it is their best album, though personally I am of a mind that whenever they create something new that immediately becomes their best.

They started writing their own songs while at the Berkeley Music School summer program which was made possible by an appearance on The Ellen (DeGeneres) Show in 2015. Their first EP Escape the Mind (released 2015) features the first songs they each wrote basically as assignments from their teachers, at the ripe old ages of 15,13 and 10. 😎👍

Before Berklee. They started writing their own music when Pablo González Sarre was their teacher at home. He was originally Ale's bass teacher but he taught them as a group about the music business and pushed them to write their own songs. By the time they got to Berklee they had already written some but especially When I'm Alone was written at Berklee by Dany. That's how they were able to have a preview of RockBand 4 during that same trip & find that one of their earliest songs was already on it.

The Album where this song is taken from, 'Queen Of The Murder Scene' is a concept album, or Rock Opera if you will, that Paulina the drummer wrote when she was 14. It's a story about unrequited love that leads to obsession, stalking and finally murder and suicide, told from the point of view of the murderess, the 'Queen'. Dust to Dust is the prologue where the Queen meets the girls in a bar and tells her story. The guy who appears during the bridge is their manager Rudy Joffroy, preaching about sin and forgiveness. Paulina is the main composer of the band. Whenever she has an idea for a riff or a melody line she plays it on her keyboard and records it on her phone. She told in an interview that she has, at that moment, over 700 different snippets of sound and melody on her phone.... The process of composing and developing lyrics is then, after she presents a song idea or even a complete song to the others, undergoing disassembling and reassembling by all of them until they have a consensus that all of them like. Daniela has composed a few songs, When I'm Alone for example and Alejandra wrote River's Soul, I think.

While they started writing their own songs a little younger, it was after the explosion of the Enter Sandman video that they really began to focus on not being a cover band, they used the success of Enter Sandman to help propel their own original music. Escape the Mind was an experiment in trying to find their sound, XXI Century Blood gave them the direction they wanted and Queen of the Murder Scene, well that was just a masterpiece of rock and story telling. They took it several more notches higher with Error.

They, the ladies, wrote ALL the lyrics, and ALL the music for EVERY SINGLE ORIGINAL SONG, until their latest single, "more", which was releases in late June 2023, and was their first time recording a song they had written in collaboration which other writer(s). How could you underestimate them? Self composing? Almost from the get go. Around the time of the original "Enter Sandman" cover, they started writing and recording songs as a band. I think Ale was still 9 when she was credited with the creative juice behind "Take Me Down", one of the songs off The Warning's EP "Escape The Mind", released in 2015. "Take Me Down" is the only song from the EP which was included, for a time, in set lists, after "XXI Century Blood", The Warning's first LP.

I don't know if you want to do it this way or not, but I went ahead and got all of the links from the same Lunario CDMX concert.
