absolutely agree, the full Lunario concert is a must watch. Dany really gets into character as the Queen and the ladies pour absolutely everything into this performance. This was the opening of the show, they proceed to play the whole QOTMS album in order with a few tracks from their first album mixed in between chapters.

No, they didn't end the show like that. In Spanish, "good night" can also mean "Good Evening." So She was saying, "Good evening" to the crowd, and this was definitely the first song of the show. Very cute of them, when I saw The Warning in Berkeley CA, Dany greeted us in English, "Good night Berkeley!" as they were just getting started.

Zack, I'd recommend listening to what others are saying here, it's worth going through the whole set in order. It tells one hell of a story, and the girls give it their all despite the elevation. It's really one of the concerts that will be remembered as legendary when the girls finally take over the mainstream rock scene.

Speaking of the bass intro from Ale. If you watch the full concert video from Lunario you'll see Ale play an extended intro which isn't included on this video. Like others have I'd recommend watching the whole concert and maybe weaving in vlogs #23, #25 and #26 where the girls talk about the different chapters.

If you’re following the Lunario performance of QOTMS from beginning till the end, this is the prologue, followed by four chapters of three songs each. During the performance of each chapter, they added a song from XXI Century Blood for their original fans. Had you started with the full concert, you would have seen their pre show rituals and Ale’s extended intro. This version cuts off the first three quarters of the intro. You have to know what are the legacy songs that don’t pertain to the story so to follow along.

Just to add to what everyone has said. Please keep in mind that they are not used to Mexico City altitude (CDMX is at 7,349 feet), specially back then. It blows my mind that they can play for so long at that age and altitude.

I always look forward to your The Warning reactions. I also wish someone who was there would comment. My understanding is that it was limited to the contributors who crowd-sourced to produce the album. As someone has suggested, vlogs 23, 25 and 26 explain to their contributors (patreons) how they were writing it, etc. They're really smart and funny in these vlogs. There is actually a video of the whole concert which has the pre-show, etc. In it, Dany thanks all the people who came from around the world to attend this concert. If I got any of this wrong, the TWA will correct me.

When I saw them on their recent UK tour, both nights they did Dust To Dust and segued directly into Dull Knives. It was absolutely killer both times. When Pau got sick, they substituted When I'm Alone for D2D at those shows.

This was the first song of the concert and the album. The thumbnail photo for the full concert is the promotional photo for the Lunario concert and all three girls look alike, more than any other picture since becoming teenagers.

This concert was in late November, 2018. It is the prologue to QOTMS. The preacher is manager of the band, Rudy Joffroy, reciting a sermon written by Mony, the band's mom. This is an incredibly cool concert! Ale kills that opening, and this song ROCKS all the way through.IMHO, the whole concert is second only to Teatro Metropolitan among those they've published online so far. Four songs from 21st Century Blood are interspersed among the other 12 songs from QOTMS after this. The next song on QOTMS is *Crimson Queen,* which Dany delivers in an intensely intimate way.

When I think about The Warning sound I have always felt that this is the most The Warning of all their songs. When recommend the Warning this is one of their first songs I recommend. I usually start with something like Animosity or Disciple and then move to this. That way they get to see both Dany and Pau on vocals.

I'm glad you got to see the other live before the Lunario version; so many people, they see this version first and when their manager Rudy comes out to do the Spanish sermon part, it TOTALLY catches people off-guard and they're just like "Who TF is THAT guy?? @@zack_reacts I got lucky as heck, I’d already resolved to travel to CA or NJ to see them at a festival in the fall, but a couple days after I joined their Patreon (I only just discovered them six weeks ago) I saw someone ask about presale tickets for a show in Seattle. I scoured the internet, it wasn’t even listed on their schedule, but a search pulled up a Reddit post, they were coming to Seattle with 3 other groups. One of those groups posted a pre-sale password, so I got in two days before tickets went public (only 20+ tickets sold at the time). Since I didn’t have to travel, I splurged on VIP tickets, front row including an acoustic performance by the Warning pre show. Can’t get more lucky than that :)

Thanks Zach! Yeah, what everybody else is saying. Go through this one track by track. You could actually do two’fers with this. How many times have you said, “oh my gosh, that was so short!“? It’s short enough that you could do two songs each time. The Teatro Metropolitan show is like the gold standard, but I really love this show. It’s more raw, has a more punk feel. Queen of the Murder Scene is a masterpiece, even more so when you realize that Pau was 14-15 when she wrote it.

You're exactly right, the size of the venue changes the dynamics of the music. I've only seen a couple of bands in small, then larger settings. I've seen Queen, Journey, and Billy Squier twice. Both times in arenas seating 15 to 20 thousand. I saw Styx in Convention Hall in Asbury Park in 1978, seats around 2,000, and again at Brendan Byrne Arena in East Rutherford in '83, which seats around 15,000. I saw Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes play at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park a few times in the mid seventies, maybe 300-400, and Convention Hall in '77 or '78. Oh, The Warning played The Stone Pony in August 2023. Someone has the whole thing here on KZbin.

And Auditorio Nacional is the one that they sold out in record time so they had to add a second show that is also getting close to selling out both of those concerts are scheduled for 2025 Auditorio Nacional holds 10,000 people. When they hold those two concerts I think they will mention Lunario because that is were they debuted the album QOTMS for the first time.

I agree with all recommending the entire concert. Just keep in mind, after dust to dust is an older song, and after each chapter is one older song and doesn't fit with the QOTMS narrative. I saw a picture of Dany a while back and when I first looked at it I thought it was Ale, then I looked again and thought no, that is Pau, it wasn't until my third look that I realized it was Dany, she had her hair dark and cut just like Ale used to have it cut. I thought I could tell the difference between them easily and normally that is the case, but with the right haircut and pose it can be very hard to tell them apart, at least when they were younger.

No it was the beginning of the show. She must mean Good Evening. I never thought about that. I'd argue this is my favorite, and I definitely like it performed at Lunario over Teatro. I think all of the Queen of the Murder Scene songs I like better at Lunario because it's darker and a little more gothy, and just more focused, because telling the story was the primary purpose, although they interspersed a couple earlier songs it's possible to watch it straight through strictly with the QOTMS songs. I'm guessing you better stick with this one. an amazing concert.

Anyone know what the venue is for the Lunario concert? I had always assumed it was a place called Lunario but I was trying to find it in Google Maps and it just brings me to Auditorio Nacional where they are playing next February. That says "Lunario de Auditorio Nacional". Unless that is a smaller stage at that location but it doesn't seem like it. Was Lunario an event or a location? Maybe it no longer exists but even then you can usually find a reference to it in Google searches.
