What I’m seeing is Dust was a mischievous kid growing up with his parents fighting, he eventually got a tofu girlfriend but broke up and got depressed. He would drunk and get into fights, eventually ending up in prison. But he changed and met the Pink Dust and started doing better until eventually dying in 2083.

I really love how since all the panels are randomised and you gradually discover a timeline. Every player has their own experience. As depending on what you see first and when. It feels like the panels you’ve already seen are ones where dust or the player is just reflecting on the past or thinking about/questioning the future. My theory is Dust was an experiment that had to do with memories, but went wrong and had to imprisoned in childhood. They escaped, took off the ankle bracelet, and began a new life. The government found them and killed them, trapping their spirit into an arcade machine. Once you find them, they have relief in knowing someone else knows of their existence.
