For the past few days, I have discovered and been really blown away by the Tom/Lance team, and by their successes in their respective fields, not to mention their love which is inspirational at the very least. Well done, Tom and Lance on the way you have chosen to love your life, including your new baby xxxx

One of Lance's gifts is his ability to create a safe space around himself and the person he is talking to. In that space he does not judge, he does not attack, he accepts his counterpart as they are. And then, within that space, something begins to change.

These talks he does I’ve watched many times and each time I find more means and solace I his words. I’ve spent most of my life hiding in one way or another from something. But I have made a conscious effort that my children never feel they have to hide their differences. This allowed them to be themselves. One to come out tome which we celebrated and cherished their difference. Being a wonderful person, loving and open is all they ever need to be xx

I would pay money to spend a week with Lance and Tom. Just to listen, and then to be a part of an amazing conversation. I’m 57, white, straight, but incredibly progressive, as the last year of birth for the “boomers” (please don’t flay me, there are lots of us who are progressive). Those 2 men are just incredible.

Hey Lance. Jon Krakauer here. I loved watching this interview. You are a magnificent raconteur with noble ambitions. I trust your work on Under the Banner is going well. I have no doubt your script(s) will be terrific.

I'm not sure Lance will see this here as this is the Cambridge Union's channel. Try hitting him up on Instagram or Twitter where he's active - @dlanceblack for both. Also, he was on Instagram today talking about the script! Your book, Lance's script and Ron Howard's directing is going make a masterpiece, no doubt!

Education of "other" is so important. Sadly it's lacking in so many countries, school, religions and communities. It's heartbreaking, isn't it. I love Lance's stories cos they always make you think because of the truth behind them 😘

I like this interview, Mr. Black did a great job in answering almost all of the questions relevantly but my only concern is did the interviewer have sttuters? Like he kept stuttering, idk if either he is nervous or havin that condition (which is excusable) but cmon if you are interviewer he should be more enthusiastic and reduce the nervous and anxiety cause ngl it kinda ruin the interview vibe a lil bit!

I believe in coalition-building through shared human values. However, since the Republicans had God join its party, religious difference has become magnified in this country and throughout the world. We must talk more about human values, not ones in religions that dehumanize those who are a theological exception. Religion is the source of all cultural divisions.
@shau-lin46295 жыл бұрын
Or maybe religion is the universal justification of the divisions we humans come up with to exploit others.

Also I want to say something about running for president question for Lance and how I am grateful that he choose to be activist that made changes without bringing politics into it. American is the center of politic world, election? Every country will focus about that and all and I see that Lance talks mostly centered towards his experience in livin at america and uk (which is not wrong) but if it was politic issues that involved other countries and story it'll be kind of tough for him, nevertheless I do think he could tolerate anything politics related that need to be issued since the way he talks and explain show that. The world still devided to have a gay president and I thank god he choose not to run up in election cause all the hatred that he'll get is unimaginable.
