Words can’t explain just how nostalgic this song makes me. Last summer I met this girl after finally pulling myself together after a heartbreak. The first night I met her it was pouring rain and we went stargazing after it cleared up. I never let anyone drive my truck rarely but there was just something about her I knew I wanted her to be there for the rest of my life. I let her drive my truck the same night I met her. We cruised around on dirt roads all night I finally dropped her off at home when the sun was coming up. I drove home and fell asleep with a smile on my face that night after years. We decided to see each other again. We would go to a lake called afton lake here in Kansas. Those were some of the best nights of my life. I wish I could go back and live them again. Anyway, things just didn’t work out. I was in my truck driving home a few weeks ago and this song came on and I just broke down and cried. Just thousands of tears rolling down my face. I still hold her closer in my heart than she’ll ever know. If you took the time to read this I hope you can see why this song hits so close to home for me. Love the people you have in your life. Good things can come to an end in the blink of an eye. Cherish those moments. Live with no regrets.

No shade to Miss Porter, but Lauren Alaina's vocal chops are hard to compete with. I saw Dustin, Lauren and Cole Swindell here in PHX a few yrs back, and the three came out and performed a medley of tunes for the finale, which was epic. Lauren did some Shania, and the crowd exploded when they did a few bars of "Pour Some Sugar on Me". I wish I could be Dustin for a minute, cuz the ladies love that guy something fierce.
