Dustin signed a new 8 fight deal. Going after Diaz is good b/c it creates the potential for another $$$ trilogy. Then, finishing the trilogy with Conor eats 4 of the 8 fights. He then could use those for a title run. Win the belt, defend 3 times, and retire a very wealthy man.

Here’s why I disagree. If Dustin comes out and gets injured and loses the belt to Diaz, that multi million dollar McGregor fight likely goes away. If presented with a rematch AND title fight with Nate Diaz OR simply a rematch with Dustin (less money for all parties), McGregor is taking Diaz. AND if McGregor loses to Diaz again it is possible McGregor retires and Dustin never gets that 2nd big money fight.
